What have you got to lose?

Yeah, the price is a bit high but if you 're not satisfied you can get a full refund in the first month. Works with Netflix, HBO and Hulu. Great for at home but even better for those who are abroad...!

The best VPN app out there

Seriously, no other VPN has their Tor servers. These guys really practice what they preach: private servers, no up time, no logs. I love this service. Speeds are good too, and about customer support I don't have any bad word.

Best vpn I found great surfing speed

I am using ExpressVpn for the last 3 weeks after trying many others, the best speed experience I got was with them, which for me is very important. I am using it for hulu and showtime, outside of USA.

Reliability & Support 5.0 / 5.0

ExpressVPN has a support section in the menu bar. You can choose live chat, contact form, or direct email. But it’s first best to check out their tutorials and troubleshooting section because it’s very extensive and you’ll probably find what you’re looking for.

The Bottom Line
Ran Greenberg
(New-Media and online expert, Venture Capitalist and investor)
It might be pricier than other VPNs, but it’s totally worth it.

ExpressVPN is definitely the top of the VPN market. Besides being known for having the fastest speed, ExpressVPN is incredibly easy-to-use and the service is reliable.

While many VPNs have trouble bypassing VPN blocks (we’re talking about you, Netflix) or accessing blocked content in other countries, ExpressVPN consistently succeeds. What’s more, the support system is unbeatable, and we can’t help but mention the extensive blog on their site. Let’s not forget the 30-day money back guarantee (it works, we tried it).

Detailed expert review

Many VPNs claim to be the fastest, but trust us when we say ExpressVPN is telling the truth. It’s our top pick for streaming movies and TV shows with their unlimited bandwidth and more than 1,000 servers in over 100 locations.

Besides for having great encryption and security, ExpressVPN does not log any traffic data or DNS queries, allows P2P on all of their servers (a rarity among VPNs), has a wide range of security protocols (including OpenVPN), and includes a kill-switch feature (which you can opt-out of, though we don’t recommend it).

It doesn’t matter if you prefer Apple tor Microsoft, ExpressVPN has apps for almost every OS out there, including Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, Linux, and Blackberry (albeit only for two models). They even have a router app for your home, which is rare among VPN services. (If you need help installing a VPN on your router, check out our step-by-step guide.)

The new web-browser extension for Chrome and Firefox is pretty cool, too, since you can see your connection as you browse the web.

If you ever need help navigating their site, ExpressVPN has an informative blog with tons of tutorials. However, if you don’t have the patience for all of that, you can hit the support button, which directs you to three options: contact form, live chat, or direct email. We found this to be a truly excellent support system.

The one thing we really love about ExpressVPN is their ability to unlock almost any content. With Netflix’s VPN block, many – if not most – VPN services struggle to access Netflix’s entire library from outside of the US, but ExpressVPN doesn’t. They also successfully access blocked websites in China – like Whatsapp, Youtube, and Gmail – even though there’s a ban on VPNs.

But let’s go back to the speed. They are significantly faster than other VPNs and are proud of it. They even have a “VPN Speed Test” so users can see their VPN speed and the speeds of other servers.

Although it’s a little pricier than others, ExpressVPN is worth it. Their service is unbeatable, and their 30-day money-back guarantee means that you can try it out with any qualms. (We even tested it out to make sure it was legit.)

ExpressVPN has a special discount only available for vpnMentor readers. Right now, if you purchase the annual package, you’ll get three extra months for FREE. That’s $6.50/month for one of our top-rated VPNs.

Users looking to download torrents and watch live video streaming will love ExpressVPN, which offers blazing speed and protects your device at all times, giving you a stress-free experience with unlimited bandwidth. And of particular concern for Torrent users, Express does not keep any logs, so you do not have to worry about them having any of your information. Either way, Express is based in the British Virgin Islands, so they are not subject to any data retention laws anyhow, so users REALLY can feel protected.

They claim to be the fastest VPN around, and while I am normally cynical about such claims, I honestly can say this was the fastest VPN I have tried. Their special feature, “VPN Speed Test,” lets users check how fast their VPN server is working so that they can chop and change the location that is fastest for them.

They also have a plethora of servers - 1000+ in 145 locations across 94 countries, not that we're counting - and that’s nothing to scoff at. To boot, included with the price of their VPN service is SmartDNS, which gives you access to their MediaStreamer. This enables you to watch Netflix on virtually any platform that you may have so that you aren’t limited to watching your favorite Netflix documentary series on your computer.

We also have to appreciate the number of native apps available, which includes the usual suspects: Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, iPhone, iPad, as well as Linux. They even have an app for Blackberry (albeit only for two models), as well as a router app so that you can protect your entire home with one subscription, something only a few VPN providers have. ExpressVPN also just launched a new Chrome and Firefox extension, so you can see your connection while you browse the web. This makes using their VPN even more convenient since you can set it to automatically open up to the last server you used. Express also has a wide range of protocols available, depending on your privacy vs. speed requirements.

The whole thing is fairly easy to navigate. ExpressVPN is a little more grown up looking than others, and it does take users through the step-by-step rationale of why VPN’s exist and how they can help us.

Their website has a blog, which can be helpful in demystifying some of those techy traps. However, if you haven’t the patience for all that, you can hit the support button, which directs you to three options for getting in touch with their crew: contact form, live chat, or direct email. I found this to be a truly excellent support system.

ExpressVPN is serious about anonymity, so doesn’t log any sort of traffic data or DNS queries. Their basic subscription offer allows the setup of three devices of any type. And they allow P2P on all of their servers, somewhat of a rarity.

Although ExpressVPN is a tad more expensive than the others, it makes some serious promises that seem to be their honest word so far. Those include unlimited bandwidth and speed, unlimited servers, and round the clock customer support.

ExpressVPN does not log user activity on Android (or other devices for that matter), which means that those who are using the VPN have the comfort of knowing that their data, as well as their Internet activity, is entirely private. ExpressVPN’s native app for Android is easy to install and does not require any configuration (like some VPNs, which require that use the OpenVPN app). It is important to note that you cannot just install it from the App Store; you must first sign up for an account on their website.

ExpressVPN works seamlessly with all Apple products, offering more VPN locations which are constantly optimized to give you the fastest speed possible. You can set the openVPN protocol as your default setting, providing your Mac desktop with the most secure connection available, without taking a single action.

The network lock kill switch will ensure that your data remains protected even in cases of unexpected connectivity issues, so you can continue streaming music and videos and browsing your favorite websites with no limitations whatsoever. Their Mac app also has split tunneling, making your connection even more secure.
