A product of the UK based iNinja Ltd, iNinja is a fresh, free VPN extension for Chrome users that was launched in 2017. Even though iNinja offers a few attractive features that would appeal to any Chrome user such as free service, unlimited speed, servers in USA and UK, and WiFi protection, we don’t recommend it for a number of reasons, one of them being its inability to unblock Netflix.
Free or premium, a good VPN doesn’t keep logs. However, iNinja is hardly a ninja when it comes to protecting your online privacy. Unlike other no-logging, free VPNs such as TunnelBear or Proton VPN, iNinja VPN collects logs and personal data including connection logs, IP address, personal information, online activities, and cookies. Such information is enough for ISPs and hackers to trace your real location and monitor your internet activities.
Security and encryption aren’t impressive either. iNinja doesn’t offer any advanced or diverse security features like 256-bit encryption, OpenVPN, or DoubleVPN. It relies on 128-bit SSL encryption only, which isn’t enough to shield you online or overcome restrictions to give you access to popular services such as Netflix, Hulu, and BBC iPlayer. We tested it and we weren’t able to access any of them. If you want speedy, reliable streaming, try out one of these leading vendors that we've tested for streaming Netflix.
iNinja doesn’t come with a kill switch which can easily expose your internet connection during sudden dropouts.
While iNinja offers unlimited speed and server switching, it has a significantly small number of servers in only eight countries including USA, UK, Australia, Netherlands, and Russia. Shockingly, we couldn’t connect to any of the available servers.
Moreover, support is limited to email and it isn’t helpful. Although it’s stated on the website that the customer support team is available 24/7, it’s been over 48 hours and we didn’t receive any reply.

Installation & Apps
6.8
iNinja’s Chrome extension is very easy to install. First, you download and install the application from the Chrome store, and then you install the addon by clicking on “Add to Chrome". Now that it’s installed, just click on the app icon in the top of your browser and select the server location you want to connect to. That’s it. Nothing more to it. The interface itself is not more than a list of servers. It can’t get simpler than that.

There isn’t much to say in this department as iNinja VPN is completely free to use. They don’t offer any premium subscriptions that you could pay for and get more features or stronger capabilities like other free VPNs such as Windscribe.
