With VPNs, you tend to get what you pay for. So when I saw Surfshark’s super low prices (you can get it for just $2.21/month), I was a bit skeptical about its rave reviews. To find out if it actually lives up to these claims, I tested every single aspect of Surfshark, including speeds, security features, unblocking abilities, network reliability, and device compatibility. I also took a cl...

Easy to use and very safe

Surfshark is very customer-friendly and easy to use. You are safe and well protected from governments ... trying to spy on you. You get frequent updates and important information from Surfshark. There are only very few things Surfshark can improve its services.More

No use for Netflix, so-so speeds - you get what you pay for

They have a reasonable variety of servers, but the main reason for which I purchased a subscription wa... s to get access to local Netflix libraries, especially the ones in the UK, France, and Germany. When I purchased a subscription, their website had a list of servers through which one could access local Netflix libraries, including the above. Well, guess what: none of the above works now, even though some reviews claim that you can access many different Netflix libraries with Surfshark. And the BBC iPlayer or the ITV hub also don't work consistently. Bottom line: I have to get another VPN service, and cannot use Surfshark for the purpose for which I purchased it. I have about two years left of my subscription, and they refuse to make a partial refund. That's not cool at all.More

While we wish it offered as many devices as some of our top providers, Encrypt.me (previously Cloak VPN) succeeds in protecting Apple devices connected to public unprotected networks. It also succeeds in unblocking Netflix, but it's not reliable on every server. Once installed on the users' devices, the Encrypt.me app automatically creates a VPN connection when the device uses an untrusted Wi-Fi...

Simple for all my iOS/OSX devices

I travel a lot, US and EU, and use airline club, airport and hotel connections - all of which make me ... nervous, especially because I check my IRAs 2-3 times a day. Cloak is the third VPN I've tried - I don't remember the names of others because I quickly abandoned them when I found them kludgy and hard to set up. Cloak is SO easy, and shows up as a simple iOS setting choice. I see no speed impact, although I suspect there may be one, and so when I'm connecting to a slow service, I may use it only when transmitting or receiving sensitive data. Like seatbelts and life jackets, the easier they are to use, the more likely they are to be used. Cloak is easy.More

Great VPN when it works

Easy to setup, easy to "set and forget". But, that's only when the Cloak servers are responding and ru... nning as normal. I have found that often (10% of the time approx) when trying to use wifi the Cloak servers are not responsive/down and that leaves you in the exactly the situation you don't want to be in... either using iOS and OSX on unsecured connections or not using them online at all. Pretty poor outcome for something that you actually pay for.More

Final Verdict — A User-Friendly and All-Round Safe, Reliable VPN I 100% recommend Surfshark. Of all its competitors, it has the best value and provides you with everything a top VPN should: multiple advanced security features, reliable network and speeds, consistent unblocking abilities, and a strong commitment to user privacy and security. I was really impressed with Surfshark’s customer support and its level of transparency while reading over its privacy policy, as well. In addition, one of its greatest selling points is that you can connect an unlimited number of devices simultaneously, making its comparably lower price point even more worth it. However, if you want a VPN with an incredibly reliable network with more global coverage, ExpressVPN is a better choice. I would also recommend CyberGhost if you’re looking for an easy-to-use VPN designed for streaming and torrenting. If you're not convinced if Surfshark's for you, you can check…
