PureVPN versus IronSocketVPN is an evaluation that is quite close with both products almost equal on features. Both companies are based in Hong Kong. Encryption is accomplished over 256-bits in both PureVPN and IronSocket. On the protocol front, Iron Socket supports L2TP, PPTP, HTTP and SOCKS5. PureVPN is also nearly there with L2TP/IP-Sec, PPTP, SSTP and IKEv2 as well as Stealth protocol. Looking at supported devices, IronSocket is compatible with Mac OS X, all Windows versions, PS, Xbox, Wii, routers, TV, iOS and Android. It is with advanced features and ease-of-use that PureVPN makes its mark with a stack full of features such as its IP Leakage protection and Internet Kill-switch. Coming to pricing, PureVPN is again way ahead of the game when compared with IronSocket. Access to all servers is another beneficial feature of the PureVPN model, with all pricing plans having this feature enabled.

PureVPN is a highly-rated and affordable VPN, but its had its share of controversies. A past incident involving the FBI caused significant damage to its reputation. So, has it done enough to improve its policies since then? To find out, I did a deep dive into its privacy policy and everything else it offers. I also tested its speeds, thoroughly explored its server network, examined its security ...

An excellent value, all things considered

While they will absolutely throttle p2p in most servers, it's easy to find and log into the p2p server... s. They responded promptly when I had questions (although once it was basically to say "sorry, tough luck"). Overall though, I think I paid something like $20 for a year's subscription - I really can't complain. I'm sold on the service, although I think the fact that it's based out of HK is a bit spooky. 9/10More

Not Private! They cooperate with FBI! Application will NOT CLOSE (only minimizes)

PureVPN COOPERATES WITH FBI INVESTIGATIONS! You can verify this with any search! PureVPN REQUIRES ... USERS TO PROVIDE REAL NAME TO USE THE SERVICE! VPN Does NOT Support Close Application, Against Windows Standards! Close Actually Minimizes and it Keeps Running. Company refuses to change this back (used to operate correctly) A clear violation of your rights as owner of your PC.More

IronSocket has 68 servers located in 36 countries around the world and, while it is not the largest VPN provider around, it still takes your privacy seriously. It claims to be able to unblock several streaming sites too but I was disappointed to see that Netflix is not one of them. IronSocket is a VPN provider whose headquarters are located in Hong Kong, and they market their service to those wh...

    The best VPN

How great is this company's customer service? After recently renewing for another year of service, I e... mailed them because I made an error in creating a new account. This was their reply: "It looks like you missed that we're offering a 50% discount on annual subscriptions. We've taken the time from your new subscription and added it to your current monthly subscription and we've also added an additional year FOC. Your new Next Due Date is now 24 December 2020." Seriously, they gave me an entire additional year of service for free. Try to beat that. On top of their excellent pricing, their service and tech support is top notch with quick responses and excellent assistance. I cannot recommend them highly enough.More

Constant VPN/SOCKS5 drops, no reply from Customer Service on IP Leaks, no info on protecting yourself with torrents

If you're torrenting there's settings in your torrent software you need to change, you need to force i... t to use the VPN. They don't provide this info and thus my IP was leaking. I logged a ticket on Nov 15th as urgent and as of Jan 19th there is no response. I have cancelled my service.More
