How to Watch Billions on Netflix Online in 2025

Hunter Pope Updated on July 14, 2025 Cybersecurity Researcher

The hit show Billions is exclusively available to viewers in Japan. Due to licensing constraints, Netflix provides different content libraries tailored to specific regions.

While a VPN can give you a Japanese IP address, hypothetically letting you watch Billions from abroad, you should know that this goes against Netflix’s Terms of Service and could constitute copyright infringement. My team and I don’t condone using a VPN to break copyright laws.

Quick Guide: How to Watch Billions in 3 Easy Steps

  1. Get a VPN.
  2. If you’re in Japan, select a server close to you.
This will give you the best streaming speeds.
  3. Start watching Billions.
Log in to your Netflix account, and enjoy the show!
Important! My team and I do not condone any form of copyright violation. The VPN service we recommend adheres to strict no-logging policies, ensuring it doesn’t monitor or record your online activities. As a user, it's your duty to use a VPN in compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines.

That's Not All a VPN Can Do

Top-notch VPNs allow you to stream Netflix in HD without lag. However, this is just one of the numerous benefits of using a VPN.

A great VPN protects your privacy and ensures that no one can access your IP address. When shopping around for the right VPN, you need a strict no-logs policy, which means that your VPN provider does not record things like searches, downloads, or streaming choices.

Next, make sure your VPN comes with an automatic kill switch. A kill switch activates if your VPN connection drops and ensures your IP address is never visible.

Finally, make sure your VPN uses military-grade-encryption to keep your data safe from prying eyes.

Where Can I Watch Billions Online?

Billions is available on Netflix Japan, but it’s absent from other libraries. That’s because streaming sites like Netflix geo-restrict their content to follow license and copyright agreements, along with other profit-motive factors. It means that Netflix's catalog of movies and shows is different for each country. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to watch Billions on Netflix from outside of a licensed region.

Apart from Netflix Japan, Billions is also streaming on the following platforms:

  • Paramount Plus in the US
  • Amazon Prime Video in the US
  • Hotstar in India
  • Sky in the UK

Conclusion

Billions is streaming on Netflix, but it’s only available in the Japanese library. While a VPN can change your online location to Japan so you can theoretically access the show from abroad, be warned that this goes against Netflix’s Terms of Service and could constitute copyright infringement.
