Welcome to a tale of two very different VPNs. ExpressVPN offers leading security protocols and options, plus some of the fastest servers available that support streaming and torrenting. AVG Secure VPN unblocks Netflix and offers basic wi-fi protection, but lacks important security features, is limited in its server network, and is costly compared to other feature-rich services. A confusing logging policy and slow customer support also count against AVG Secure VPN.

Back in 2016, AVG was bought out by long-time rival Avast. It’s no surprise, then, that AVG Secure VPN shares many similarities with Avast SecureLine. So is there anything that makes this VPN stand out?
With just 57 servers in 37 countries, you won’t find a huge network. For a full, global network of servers, you can still rely on a larger and more well-established VPN like NordVPN.

Who watches the watchers? Is VPNMentor being funded by the other three VPN providers in order to make AVG look bad? The Speedtest.net numbers in the article look really bad and only make me wonder what kind of primordial netowrking people have to put up with in Europe. I have no problems in the US. Also those "reviews" printed at the end are nothing but whining complaints with no factual information. This whole web page is extremely suspect and I am sticking with AVG.

Does Not Meet Expectations !I have had drop-outs in the middle of banking transactions. NOT GOOD! Some days, I receive: "there is a problem try again later" Really ???? They harass you to renew your subscriptions 5-6 weeks in advance. If you signed up for auto-pay they will pay themselves 10-15 days in advance of the renewal date. Bye AVG !
Is ExpressVPN really the fastest out there? Is it worth the price, even with its latest discount? I ran every test possible to find out.
Whether you want to stream Netflix, download torrents, play video games, or stay anonymous and secure online, I’ve got the important info you need. Spoiler: ExpressVPN can do all of these, and its latest version is a serious contender for the VPN crown. Bu...
The best VPN out there! The user experience is super easy to use and works great on my computer and phone. I always feel like my data is being protected well. My experience with customer support has always been great as well! Overall, this service has done me well for well over a year now and I will continue to use it! Great product, great service!

Express VPN is TERRIBLE!After reading all of the rave reviews, I signed up for ExpressVPN. Express VPN constantly causes me to lose my internet connection on my Dell XPS Laptop, Windows 10 especially when booting the computer or waking the computer. I then have to disconnect Express via the task manager and reconnect to internet. It sometimes kills my connection in the middle of tasks. There is no telephone support. Email to support went unanswered. After troubleshooting with Chat and sending my log files which are fine, Chat Support simply said that this was a problem their engineers are aware of. Whaaaaat? So when, if ever, will there be a fix?? Worthless service, Terrible support! Deserves zero stars.

AVG Secure VPN is fast and very secure with 256-bit encryption, but raises concerns with unclear data logging policies, lack of kill switch, ad blocking and anti-malware features, and its inability to work in China. ExpressVPN takes a complete no-logging approach across its 2,000 servers with leading encryption and more transparent pricing structures.

AVG Secure VPN has eight suitable P2P servers, which means it supports torrenting, but may see slowdowns during peak hours. ExpressVPN allows torrenting on all of its servers in 94 countries, with users reporting fast speeds at almost all hours for their downloads and P2P activities.

The AVG Secure VPN client for Windows is stable and reliable, though it lacks settings to prevent leaks in the event of a crash. ExpressVPN gives you full protection against hackers and maintains a no logs policy, as it gives Windows users quick speeds and reliable 24/7 support.

ExpressVPN provides military-grade AES 256-bit encryption across all your mobile devices, prevents logs and leaks, and supports fast servers to stream your favorite content from 94 different countries. Android support is native for AVG Secure VPN, and it protects you with no IP or DNS leaks, but its free trial starts as soon as you download it from the Play Store.

AVG Secure VPN offers strong 256-bit encryption across all of its versions, but the Mac client uses IPSec instead of OpenVPN, a more secure VPN protocol. ExpressVPN supports multiple security protocols and leading encryption options while also having a client that’s easy to install and use, and good 24/7 customer support.

Users are generally happy with AVG Secure VPN's stability on iOS devices, but you should note that Family Sharing support requires everyone to use the same Apple ID. ExpressVPN’s iOS users speak highly of the service’s security across multiple types of networks, and you’ll always feel like your data is secure and private when using it.

ExpressVPN has some of the quickest servers and largest US options available. You can pay via multiple methods, including cryptocurrency, and use the latest security tools. AVG Secure VPN has specialty servers for streaming US content, but its limited number of servers may make you concerned that unblocking could stop with just a few additions to a blacklist.

The privacy concern leads us to suggest ExpressVPN as the winner here. ExpressVPN gives you military-grade encryption, kill switches, tunneling, and a robust no-logs policy. Plus, you’ll get access to your favorite services without having to worry if you’ve got a DNS or IP leak. AVG Secure VPN is simple to use and should be relatively secure, but comes with only long-term pricing options, extensive logs, and slow support. You’re likely better to choose ExpressVPN which has more servers and supports the functions you want, even if you pay slightly more for it.
