With VPNs, you tend to get what you pay for. So when I saw Surfshark’s low prices, I was skeptical about its rave reviews. To see if it could actually live up to these claims, I tested every aspect of Surfshark, including its speeds, security features, unblocking abilities, network reliability, and device compatibility. I also took a closer look at Surfshark’s privacy policy to verify its ...

Best I've ever used. All good, no complaints at all. I had a couple of questions when I first started ... using it, reached out to customer service. They were quick to respond, friendly, and helpful. I'm looking forward to them making the Surfshark Search feature a separate app.More

Started pretty good. Quickly devolved in to unusable VPN

At first, my speeds were impressive. The connection was seamless. I almost forgot it was there. Then a... bout two months in the issues started. First with the ad blocker. I couldn't connect to anything Google amazon or Reddit with the vpn on. That got remedied but then my packet loss skyrocketed into double-digit percentages for about another week. Hard to do live-connected things with a spotty connection. Now I can't stay connected for more than an hour before my connection either stalls completely causing me to miss important work-related emails and messages. Servers in the continental US show my location in all sorts of bizarre places ranging from India to Singapore. My connection speed drops by almost half when the service is running at its best lately. The wire guard protocol doesn't appear to work at all. My location is visible despite using multihop more frequently than it is not. I can't use a single video service while connected to it either. *INCLUDING* youtube... It's a shame too because I really liked it at first. For more reasons than it being so inexpensive. Now? More

Your personal information becomes an easy target for identity thieves, hackers, and malicious spammers on public WiFi connections. Private Communications Corporation took it upon themselves to provide the general public with a tool to secure their information. Headquartered in California and founded by Kent Lawson in 2010, Private WiFi was released – a VPN once recognized as an excellent catch ...

Very good for limited need (like mine)

Since I only need a VPN to connect securely to my bank once a week from a foreign country and since my...  bank blocks outsiders, I need a low-cost VPN with strong encryption and a strong protocol. Private WIFI suits my need perfectly for 30 USD a year. I see no reason why I should pay more for fancier VPN or trust those with headquarters in Panama, on Virgin Island, in Russia, or in China.More

No one's at home at Customer Service

Private Wifi died about 6 months ago, I have 2 months left in the annual subscription. Many messages w... ere sent to Customer Service over these months, never any kind of reply. I think they have a number, but they keep banker's hours, so I'd be at work. Anyway got 4 months for the annual fee.More

Final Verdict — A User-Friendly and All-Round Safe, Reliable VPN I 100% recommend Surfshark. It offers really good value and provides you with everything a top VPN should: multiple advanced security features, reliable network and speeds, consistent unblocking abilities, and a strong commitment to user privacy and security. I was really impressed with Surfshark’s speeds over long distances and its customer support. In addition, one of its greatest selling points is that you can connect an unlimited number of devices simultaneously, making its comparably lower price point even more worth it. The biggest issues for me were its clunky torrenting functionality and the fact that it’s headquartered within the 9-Eyes Alliance — concerning from a privacy perspective. But overall, Surfshark is a high-quality VPN in almost every way. Reliably unblocks Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, and other streaming platforms Great speeds on nearby and distant servers 3,200 servers in 100 locations Incredibly
