CyberGhost is one of the most affordable VPNs on the market — you can get a subscription for as low as $2.29/month. I sometimes assume that price indicates quality, but with VPNs, I've been proven wrong before. So I wanted to see whether CyberGhost can really deliver at such a low price. I did a deep dive into CyberGhost’s privacy policy and security measures to determine whether it’s secu...

    Good service. Inexpensive.

Minor inconvenience: Hookup is sometimes a bit slow. However, although I never timed the hookup, I est... imate that it usually works in less than one minute. Never had a problem with a VPN once connected. Recently added dedicated IP. No problems, so far.More

Not functioning on my laptop & support is useless

Despite numerous back-and-forth emails with the support, they haven't managed to get it to work or eve... n install it on one of my computers. It worked ok on the machines. They never acknowledged their software was buggy, instead, they tried to convince me I have an issue with the laptop. They also refused to provide a refund. Absolutely unprofessional.More

My Expat Network (MEN) focuses on expatriates interested in watching TV abroad. The VPN company was founded in 2011, and so far, it has 120 servers across 12 countries. MEN uses primary and stealth servers to unblock major streaming platforms, including Netflix, Hulu, and BBC iPlayer. However, MEN states that there’s no guarantee on upload and download speeds. So, I’d recommend other bette...

    Be very careful

Once I had finally managed to download this with help from the tech desk - watching was painful. It bu... ffers and stops continually. You really have to want to watch a programme to bear with it. Then I got a renewal notice 3 days before I was charged. By the time I came around to dealing with cancelling my subscription- some 6 days later I had already been charged for 2021. So I have disputed this payment saying I am happy to pay for 6 days but not for a year - that I am not going to use and of course they don’t want to know. Be aware! They are now saying I can use the service until 4 Oct 2021 when I have cancelled and don’t want to. Wouldn’t recommend - who gives you 3 days notice to cancel a subscription? Without a CANCEL NOW button. ??? Good companies give you the very minimum of 7 days if not a months notice. Not this company !!’More

    The Bottom Line

Final Verdict: A Safe and Extremely User-Friendly VPN Ideal for Streaming CyberGhost offers incredibly user-friendly apps that make accessing streaming sites from around the world really easy. Just search for the platform you want to access and CyberGhost will give you a server made to unblock it. Plus, if you ever have trouble accessing your favorite service, its support staff is super helpful and can be reached 24/7. When it comes to security, it stands out from other VPNs with its NoSpy servers. It also protects your data with military-grade encryption and features like its automatic kill switch. Independent audits, transparency reports, and a strong privacy policy also let you know CyberGhost can be trusted with your data. It does have a few downsides. Even with its gaming servers, it’s not a great VPN for online competitive play, and it doesn’t work in restrictive countries like China. I would recommend
