ExpressVPN is one of the most popular and trusted names in the industry. It’s known for being one of the safest, fastest VPNs around, so I wanted to see if it can live up to these claims. It’s not the cheapest VPN, but it often offers discounts that make it a better value for the money. Other decent VPNs offer similar security features for much cheaper. So, do you really need to pay that muc...

I've been an ExpressVPN customer since 2017 and it's been great: quickly connects to a nearby server i... n the Wash DC region, embedded shortcuts to apps I want to use while using VPN, disconnects quickly, has the kill switch feature which is necessary these days, and has a fine mobile app which works well on my Android phones and tablets. However, I was just notified that the annual price is jumping from $99 to $117 upon the next renewal, so it's time to see how the others compare within VPN Mentor.More

    Ok, but expensive

Seems ok, but I wouldn't say it's worth $20AUD a month. That's steep if you live in a backwater like A... ustralia, where the currency is not valuable. Easy enough to set up - you don't need to be Einstein - but unless you're a tech nerd who can take a look under the bonnet, you'll just have to trust what they say about their product. It frequently drops out without the slightest warning, often when it's the only thing online at the time - despite fast and flawless fiber internet, rendering expression entirely useless UNLESS you have it sitting on your desktop where you can keep an eagle eye on it to actually see it when it drops out so you can kick it back into service again (it doesn't do it by itself), which seems to defeat its purpose, so I'm taking away 2 stars for that. Support is good and they do get back to you as fast as they can.More

VPNSecure looks good on paper, but does it deliver? Finding a VPN that performs well in all fields isn’t an easy task. I took it for a test run to see whether this provider can keep you as secure as its name implies.  Founded back in 2010 in Sydney, NSW, I found VPN Secure offers solid security features with a seemingly airtight no-log policy. According to its customer support, it should e...

    Great VPN

I like it. Have had it for 3 years. I bought the lifetime subscription when that was around because Sp... ectrum sent me a letter warning me about "illegal activities" when I used torrent. The speed is actually pretty good because I could play CSGO and watch Youtube without lag or buffer. Overall I'd recommend this VPN.More

    Was great, but...

Performance is still good - IF you can connect. Many of the US servers simple don't work for me in Eu... rope. But after some trial and error, I found one. "Untied Sates + Ad Blocker" Their support used to be really, really GREAT. Now there is none. At all! I tried submitting a ticket from the app - several times. Then I tried sending a message to support on the site. NADA! NOTHING! ZIP!More

    Best VPN by Category

    Best VPN Overall

ExpressVPN is a leader in speed and server availability, with excellent customer support, and the ability to bypass almost all geo-restrictions. With dozens of gigabit servers around the globe, VPNSecure is one of the fastest options that is also highly customizable and secure. Both are on the pricier side, but do offer cryptocurrency payment options.

    Best VPN for Torrents

VPNSecure focuses heavily on privacy and does not store any logs and supports torrenting on the majority of its servers. ExpressVPN also limits logs and employs top security that gives you torrenting support on all of its more than 2,000 servers.

    Best VPN for Windows

With OpenVPN and SSH SOCKS protocols, and 128-bit and 256-bit key encryption plus no logging, VPNSecure offers a secure tunnel on your Windows devices. ExpressVPN provides for a safe experience where DNS and IP leaks are limited, all while making switching servers and changes very user-friendly.

    Best VPN for Android

VPNSecure provides a Google Play app for Android devices as well as an APK install in case you can’t access the Play Store, all without limiting its number of servers, 128-bit and 256-bit, or kill switch features. ExpressVPN’s top Android feature is its ability to give you access to the BBC, Hulu, Netflix, and more in just a few taps.

    Best VPN for Mac

VPNSecure provides a full set of exclusive servers, dedicated support, and significant security on a well-built Mac client with additional Chrome extension support. ExpressVPN has a high-speed Mac service with an intuitive design, strong encryption, and kill switch support.

    Best VPN for iOS

ExpressVPN gives all of your iOS devices protection plus supports streaming and torrenting on your favorite sites. Apple device users can access the VPNSecure service on a custom iOS app or through the OpenVPN app that makes connecting to its fast, global server network quick and easy.

    Best VPN for USA

ExpressVPN reliably gives access to some of the biggest content providers, including US streaming services that have leading geoblocking capabilities. VPNSecure offers a Smarter DNS Package designed to avoid significant geo-restrictions and providing access to Netflix on its very-fast servers.

    The Bottom Line

While the two services offer a similar level of security and price — and both give you 24/7 live chat — ExpressVPN is likely going to be the winner for you because it provides a larger number of servers and faster speeds according to our tests. ExpressVPN is also one of the easiest to use and has a very strict no-logging policy, while the policy of VPNSecure is much less clear. That said, VPNSecure offers an exclusive, extensive network of servers that are fast and secure, with strong torrenting and streaming content options, plus you can pay with crypto and fiat.
