Although IPVanish and VPN Unlimited are far apart with respect to the size of both their networks and their user bases, they both focus on providing a very secure service. Both offer 256-bit data encryption and support for multiple protocols, including OpenVPN and L2TP. They also have user-friendly apps for all major platforms and make it easy to connect in one click. Another useful feature they share is the presence of a kill switch in all their apps.

While IPVanish provides unlimited bandwidth across all subscription plans, VPN Unlimited ironically limits bandwidth usage on some of its plans. There’s also a major difference in the size of the networks of these VPNs: VPN Unlimited offers over 400 servers in 70 countries, whereas IPVanish has over 1,000 servers in 60+ countries. IPVanish also permits up to 10 simultaneous device connections per account, compared to only five connections allowed by VPN Unlimited. A more detailed, categorical comparison follows below.

IPVanish offers high-speed connections and an impressive list of advanced security features at a budget-friendly price. So, I was eager to test it out for myself. I carefully studied its privacy policy and thoroughly tested its speeds, security features, and streaming capabilities. I also looked into its network coverage and ease of use before putting its customer service team to the test. ...

    Very, very satisfied

I am into my third year of using IPVanish. I am extremely happy with the speed, reliability, features ... and reliability. The fact that I have used it for this long without trying the competition speaks volumes. I am never going to try anything else because I am completely happy with what I have. Why risk it?More

Misleading, false advertising, don't honor guarantee. BEWARE

IP address and region not effectively blocked on most sites. Streaming sites do NOT work with their se... rvices, but they do not disclose that anywhere on their website. The support team had no idea in terms of technical knowledge. They claim that their 30-day guarantee is unconditional and there is no risk, but they have so many exclusions buried in their fine print that the average user would have huge difficulty finding. They advertise on many streaming how-to websites where they KNOW their services do not work. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. If I could give less than one star I would. SO unethical.More

VPN Unlimited comes across as a very capable VPN, with its main focus being unblocking multiple streaming sites. I wanted to see if it delivered on this promise, and to test whether its security, privacy, and customer service stacks up against the best VPNs in the industry. While it certainly delivered on some of its assertions, unfortunately, it fell short in some essential areas. It unblocke...

    Very Happy with Lifetime license

I picked up a lifetime license and honestly, it's been "solid". It delivers at good speeds, no leaks ... so far have been detected. Offers a wide range of streaming options & Protocols. I've contacted customer service several times and received replies quickly. The servers for P2p are limited to three locations but are still very functional. I'd appreciate a public audit of how secure the service is but it seems none of this info is published for customers, or potential customers to view.More

    Definitely honey pot

Stay away, none of streaming services mentioned works, support may be courteous but will not solve pro... blems. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and others may work for a while but eventually your data will be sold to requesting parties and you get blocked.More

    Best VPN by Category

    Best VPN Overall

IPVanish’s server network is more reliable in terms of both the speed and the consistency of its connections, offers access to a larger network, and overall provides more value for your money. However, VPN Unlimited does offer multiple subscription plans with different prices and provides a fairly fast and reliable service overall.

    Best VPN for Torrents

IPVanish offers high-speed servers for downloading torrents anonymously, along with unlimited bandwidth on all subscription plans. VPN Unlimited only allows torrenting on about five of its servers, including one from the US, where privacy is a major issue.

    Best VPN for Windows

IPVanish for Windows features a beautiful design and includes a kill switch and NAT firewall for increased security. VPN Unlimited similarly has a Windows client that features a kill switch, DNS leak protection, and access to all its servers.

    Best VPN for Android

IPVanish supports a dedicated Android app with military-grade 256-bit encryption, unlimited server switching, and access to 24/7 live chat support. VPN Unlimited also has a dedicated Android app, with automatic WiFi protection and a 7-day free trial.

    Best VPN for Mac

IPVanish has a very intuitive MacOS app that includes a LAN-blocking feature and an OpenVPN Scrambler to evade VPN detection software. VPN Unlimited competes with a dedicated MacOS app that features the provider’s unique KeepSolid Wise technology that provides an additional level of encryption and obfuscation for improved privacy.

    Best VPN for iOS

Whether you’re using an iPad, iPhone, or Apple TV, IPVanish offers a powerful iOS app that features WiFi SSID blacklisting and access to around 1,000 servers in 60+ countries. VPN Unlimited’s iOS app is also very secure and uses the IKEv2 VPN protocol by default, with the option of switching to OpenVPN.

    Best VPN for USA

IPVanish boasts a wide selection of US servers that effortlessly circumvent geoblocks imposed on websites and region-restricted content. Notably, it flawlessly unlocks Netflix, outperforming VPN Unlimited in terms of speed. Speaking of VPN Unlimited, it is also highly effective in unblocking Netflix and other US websites regardless of your location. For enhanced speed, VPN Unlimited offers access to personal VPN servers based in the US, albeit at an additional cost.

    The Bottom Line

IPVanish is well ahead of VPN Unlimited when it comes to speed, features, and overall security, and is therefore certainly the comparison winner. It not only provides a better service but also delivers better support to go with it. IPVanish’s 24/7 support is very responsive and always available to instantly resolve queries.

IPVanish also offers better promotions and discounts than VPN Unlimited, but if you’re looking for the best value for your money, consider taking advantage of current offers on top VPNs like ExpressVPN and NordVPN, which have faster servers and more overall reliability.
