ExpressVPN is a paid premium service many swear by, while VPNBook offers a free service with mixed reviews. ExpressVPN consistently ranks as a leading VPN thanks to super-fast speeds, the ability to watch Netflix, and military-grade security. VPNBook is a completely free service that doesn’t cap bandwidth and offers strong encryption. But, you’re limited to six servers that are all monetized by ads. Keep reading to discover more of the differences between these two.

Is ExpressVPN really the fastest out there? Is it worth the price, even with its latest discount? I ran every test possible to find out.
Whether you want to stream Netflix, download torrents, play video games, or stay anonymous and secure online, I’ve got the important info you need. Spoiler: ExpressVPN can do all of these, and its latest version is a serious contender for the VPN crown. Bu...
Solid 11 out of 10What’s well for what I’m using it for. Expressvpn is the only VPN that is able to do that consistently without any issues. Great job to the developers at Expressvpn. I think the only small thing that I would change is the configuration, besides all that great service.

Express VPN is TERRIBLE!After reading all of the rave reviews, I signed up for ExpressVPN. Express VPN constantly causes me to lose my internet connection on my Dell XPS Laptop, Windows 10 especially when booting the computer or waking the computer. I then have to disconnect Express via the task manager and reconnect to internet. It sometimes kills my connection in the middle of tasks. There is no telephone support. Email to support went unanswered. After troubleshooting with Chat and sending my log files which are fine, Chat Support simply said that this was a problem their engineers are aware of. Whaaaaat? So when, if ever, will there be a fix?? Worthless service, Terrible support! Deserves zero stars.

VPNBook is a VPN that is completely free of charge and which offers basically all the perks and advantages of a paid VPN, but at no cost. This is a service that offers no limitations on bandwidth or service, and all you have to do is set up the VPN to get started.
VPNBook can unblock Netflix US, but not every library is as successful. It doesn't have servers in the UK either, so Netflix UK is o...
They're greatI've been using them for a few years now, they've always gotten me where I need to go. Really couldn't expect more out of a free service, now I'm considering upgrading (both to support them and hope for better speeds!)

Bud The PC FreakMore than likely you got that from a website you are visiting, judging from the description, not from VPNBook. I've gotten those myself and that was before I even heard of VPNBook. I just deleted them, since they were just an idle threat with no truth in it.

ExpressVPN is a safe VPN with one of the fastest networks of premium services built for streaming, torrenting, and top-of-the-line security. VPNBook stands out among free services because it does not limit bandwidth, utilizes the latest security protections, and can support most internet-connected devices, albeit with a limited server count.

With all of its 2,000+ servers supporting torrenting, ExpressVPN is one of the most P2P-friendly VPNs and takes multiple steps to safeguard your privacy. VPNBook allows torrenting on its Polish and German servers, but users report mixed success with torrents due to uneven speeds.

ExpressVPN extends its IPv6 and DNS leak protection to its Android app, though this app does not have a kill switch or split tunneling. VPNBook relies on the OpenVPN Connect app for Androids that gives you access to an encrypted tunnel to safeguard your connection, though speeds tend to be sluggish.

ExpressVPN’s Mac tools natively support OpenVPN and other leading security protocols, with a full kill switch, up to five devices per license, and unlimited usage. With VPNBook, you’ll experience no speed or usage caps and the ability, but users report mixed reviews on being able to bypass most geoblocks.

ExpressVPN delivers a native app for iOS with military-grade encryption across wi-fi networks, protecting you against DNS leaks and preventing logging of your activity. Your iOS device will need the OpenVPN Connect app to run VPNBook, but the setup is quick and straightforward. Some users even report better connections on iOS than their desktops.

Server availability makes ExpressVPN one of the leaders in US options because they can bypass Netflix and other geoblocks all while supporting torrenting at blazing speeds. VPNBook claims to give access to Netflix and others, but users report inconsistent abilities to watch Netflix, Hulu, and other geo-restricted content.

ExpressVPN is a clear winner for us. It dominates in terms of the larger server network it offers, torrent support, speed, native clients, and security. Its cost may be high for some, especially given that you’re limited to five devices per license, but you can see if it’s worth it for you by using the company’s 30-day money-back guarantee. While VPNBook is a quality experience for a free service, you may not be 100% safe and fast because it lacks a kill switch, has only six servers, and partially logs.
Interestingly, if you compare ExpressVPN with VPN4All, which is our top ranked vpn, you'll see that ExpressVPN can learn a lot from VPN4All. Compare ExpressVPN with VPN4All
