NordVPN and IPVanish are very similar. Both are based in countries that are VPN friendly (NordVPN is based in Panama and IPVanish is in the British Virgin Islands), offer multiple simultaneous connections (NordVPN offers 6, while IPVanish offers 5), and have similar numbers of servers in countries.
While IPVanish has more countries than NordVPN, one area where NordVPN races ahead is its customer service. Even though IPVanish offers good support, NordVPN’s is available 24/7. When it comes to payment IPVanish offers the most ways to pay, but only NordVPN has an option to pay with gift cards. IPVanish can reach faster speeds, but NordVPN comes out on top in terms of reliability and ease of use. NordVPN can also access Netflix. Scroll down to see why NordVPN is the winner.

IPVanish is one of the best VPN providers out there when it comes to protecting your privacy online. It is at the top of our list, along with ExpressVPN and NordVPN. The huge list of 400 servers in 61 countries means that you can keep your location confidential, while shared VPN conn

Great for streaming I'm using it to stream stuff I don't wish the gov will track... Nothing serious, but why should they know what I like to watch. Speed is fine and service did the job when I had to switch servers once. Go with it

Too slow, billed me after 5 months of cancelling! Too slow. I used it about 3 years. Then, when I cancelled August 2017 they sent another bill 5 months later! Had to block them from AmEx account to stop them from taking more money. No. Done forever with a company like that.

NordVPN is surely the most popular VPN provider, but does this mean it is also the best one? What I saw is that they do not have one “killer feature,” but rather a combination of supreme security, careful attention to privacy, and a handy support that’s one click away. For this review, I tried to tackle NordVPN and find flaws in their product, but I’m not sure I succeeded. Sure, I found a few t

Best VPN I have used I had switched from a previous VPN after reading more on logging and features, I have never had a problem with NordVPN. I did read a review that it did not have kill switch but my version for Android app and Windows 10 has a kill switch to kill the app or the internet if VPN disconnected, works great.

375 Mbps reduced to 12 Mbps Great in the first 30 days then extreme bandwidth issues after committing to the 2-year plan. Technical support is largely scripted within a 'defer and delay' paradigm. Bandwidth degraded to 12Mbps (of 375Mbps). Same 'troubleshooting' approach on each of my 3 interactions with their 'technical support'. Strict adherence to a 'no problem on our side' mentality. These guys will send you on every fool's errand in their playbook until you accept the bandwidth capping or leave. Switched to ExpressVPN and have not looked back.

 The Bottom Line

Catherine Ablett

Even though both work in China, prioritize security, and have numerous servers in over 60 countries, NordVPN is the winner.
It is NordVPN's approach to customer service, user-friendly platform, and 30-day policy (compared to IPVanish's 7 days) that pushes it into the lead. Its place as the winner is secured with its support of Netflix, dedicated US and UK IPs, and its lower monthly and yearly subscription prices.  More Info
