Both of these VPN services offer outstanding protection. With its base in Panama, NordVPN is an excellent choice for privacy, as it can deny data requests from third parties. On the other hand, StrongVPN avoids third-party involvement by owning its DNS servers. Both also provide 24/7 live chat and a 30-day money-back guarantee. However, there are some differences between the two.

NordVPN has a large network of 6,444 servers, and StrongVPN offers only 950. When it comes to streaming, both are a solid choice, with NordVPN being more reliable and much faster. However, they have both struggled to work with Netflix in the past. Read on to discover which VPN takes the lead.

On the surface, NordVPN looks like a really impressive service. It claims to have a huge global server network, a speedy and reliable connection, and iron-clad security and privacy features. Plus, you can get it all for just $5.99/month. That all sounds great, but is there a catch? To find out, I did an in-depth analysis of NordVPN. I tested its speeds and how well it performs when you’re str...

    The Best of The Best

I simply tested all VPNs looking for cutting-edge online security, I tested the most expensive and the...  most talked about virtual anonymity, none made me as happy as NordVPN, it stands out for several reasons that the much more expensive ones it doesn't have, its double encryption, dedicated IPs, onion VPN, makes NordVPN unique, with almost 6,000 servers around the world and 12 million customers like me, you can see that NordVPN is not playing games with its customers and their online security , it always innovates to keep you more secure day after day, for a fair price in the long term and without sacrificing the speed of your connection, recently Nord is developing a new VPN protocol, Nordlynx a version still under construction derived from the Wireguard protocol, if you want to have a VPN of last security that think how it will make you more secure in the next month NordVPN is the right choice, I am completely thankful for being a customer and for finding what to me is the perfect VPN.More

    BUYER BEWARE!

BUYER BEWARE! If you purchase NordVPN, it will throttle your interned speed/connectivity by 50%, like ... it did to mine. I pay $100/month to get speeds of nearly 600mbs. With NordVPN turned on, my speeds decrease to 250mbs. Nord’s “customer support” is useless and unprofessional, and, after nearly 3 weeks of endless “try this, try that”, they were unable to resolve the issue and blamed it on everything under the sun except their product, when it is OBVIOUS that, since I have zero speed issues with Nord turned off, and ONLY experience the issues with Nord turned on, it is NordVPN that is causing the issue. When I asked them for a refund of my one year subscription paid in advance and in good faith, they refused, and have now decided to ignore me. So, YOU’VE BEEN WARNED. Their VPN will devastate your internet speeds, their “support” is ridiculous, they are in denial, and they will not refund your money, even if their product is a failure…More

StrongVPN is one of the oldest VPNs, and many people praise it. However, its monthly plans don't offer a money-back guarantee, and you may find it too expensive if you only need a VPN for a short time. To determine whether it's worth the yearly commitment, I tested every aspect of StrongVPN, including speed, security features, and a thorough investigation of its privacy policy. Overall, I can...

    Best VPN by Category

    Best VPN Overall

Although the VPNs share some similarities, StrongVPN is limited compared to NordVPN. They both offer strong encryption, but NordVPN has several additional features for enhancing your security and user experience.

    Best VPN for Torrents

StrongVPN supports torrenting on all its servers, while NordVPN limits P2P sharing to specific countries. However, NordVPN is a better option, as it has a kill switch and is based outside the 5/9/14 Eyes Alliances, meaning your torrenting traffic is kept private. Plus, you won't experience any connectivity issues and can download large files in no time.

    Best VPN for Windows

While both VPNs have user-friendly apps for Windows, NordVPN provides a full range of advanced features, like split tunneling, Double VPN, and Threat Protection (ad and malware blocker). StrongVPN’s Windows app covers only the essentials, such as a kill switch and auto-reconnect feature.

    Best VPN for Android

StrongVPN's Android app offers a variety of security protocols, including OpenVPN and Wireguard. Plus, it provides split tunneling but doesn't have a kill switch. NordVPN takes the lead with its intuitive interface (there's a convenient sidebar list of servers) and offers most of the same features that are available on its desktop version. There's also a 7-day free trial for Android users.

    Best VPN for Mac

With additional features, such as custom DNS and a built-in ad blocker, NordVPN is my top choice for Mac users. StrongVPN isn’t far behind, with a sleek Mac app that includes a kill switch and IPv6 leak protection.

    Best VPN for iOS

NordVPN's expansive network spans 16 US locations, making it more dependable for securely streaming US services from within the country, such as Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and numerous other platforms. Despite having difficulties with Netflix US in the past, I was successful in streaming the platform while testing it in the US.

    Best VPN for USA

NordVPN's expansive network spans across 17 US locations, making it more dependable for accessing US geo-restricted services such as Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and numerous other platforms. Despite having faced difficulties in accessing Netflix US in the past, I was successful in bypassing this restriction during my evaluations.

    The Bottom Line

StrongVPN is a good service, especially for newcomers to VPN use or those who prefer a straightforward connection without tweaking advanced settings. However, NordVPN outshines it. NordVPN's user interface is simple yet packed with several extra internet security features. Coupled with a broader server network, a more dependable no-log policy, and superior connection speeds, NordVPN stands out as the better choice.
