Celo VPN Review 2024 — Read This Before Buying

Our Score: 5.6/10
Ranked 136th out of 285 VPNs
Guy Fawkes Updated on 18th January 2024 Anonymous Cybersecurity Experts

Today, there are many people who might want to find out what you are doing online or who might want to have access to your data. Hackers, the government, spammers, and your own ISP might be trying to gain access to your information or log what you are doing online. This is no way to live, and Celo.net agrees. The company’s goal is to provide Internet users with the freedom to go where they want without restriction and without watchful eyes following them.

While it partially succeeds at this, Celo.net is no match for the most powerful VPNs. It can't unblock streaming sites like Netflix. If you're looking for a VPN for streaming, ExpressVPN, our #1 choice and the best all-in-one tool to help you bypass geoblocks and keep you safe online.

Celo.net is made up of people who value privacy, and who have the knowledge and experience needed to create a high-quality VPN that has all of the features you need. The service is no-logs, so you can do what you want and go where you want without anyone else knowing.

Furthermore, there are no restrictions on downloads. You have the freedom to use the service as much as you require without the concern of reaching a bandwidth limit. Enjoy access to blocked content, safeguard yourself from potential hacking and spying threats, and select from a range of protocols such as OpenVPN, V2Ray, and VMess. The service even includes complimentary DDoS protection with all of its plans.

Celo.net has servers located all around the world. They offer six servers in the United States, two in the Netherlands, and one in each of the other 10 countries it covers including Germany, France, Australia, Japan, and more.

Celo.net offers a vast knowledge base for those who have questions and who want to learn how to use the product. They also have a support system, and you can submit tickets if you have an issue with the system. Overall, it is quite easy to use though. It will work with all of the various operating systems whether you are using Windows, Mac, Linux, or a mobile device.

Those who use their mobile devices often, and who use Wi-Fi hotspots are at a big risk when it comes to hackers and thieves looking to steal data. When you use a VPN service, such as that offered by Celo.net though, you can mitigate those risks. Working with a high-quality VPN can provide you with the security and the peace of mind that you need.

You can choose from four different plans, all of which have the full features of Celo.net. The only difference is the length of the subscription and the cost.

The Bottom Line

An okay VPN but it's not for streaming.

Before you decide, however, make sure you check out ExpressVPN. ExpressVPN is a much better all-round service and can bypass even Netflix's anti-VPN software. Once you've compared their services, we guarantee you'll reconsider spending money on Celo.net.

Above expectation vpn

I bought it during lifetime promotion, I think it was when celo.net was just started in the business. At first, I found many troubles connecting to their servers but eventually, things are getting better and today it is so easy to connect. What amazed me was when I check for a leak, they really cover it nicely. Makes me feel safe in surfing the grey and dark area. Good job for the celo.net team.

    Very reliable VPN

I got to know Celo through their lifetime promotion. I have used the service for 4 years and it has been great for me so far. I haven't experienced any downtime. The speed is not super great but good enough for me to stream 4k videos. Highly recommended.

    Technically advanced VPN service

They almost don't have their own VPN client application, yes there is, but weak. But the real strength comes out from their supported protocols. Celo.net offers industry standard OpenVPNs, IKEv2. Plus, Obfuscated SSH, Shadowsocks, Wireguard supported. I've never seen any other VPN services provide these wide choice of protocols.
