Hidester VPN Review 2023 - Keep This in Mind Before Buying

Launched in 2017, Hidester VPN is a new player in the VPN arena with its base in Hong Kong and brings some new promising ideas to the industry. Let’s dive into Hidester VPN’s features together and see if they can compete with some of the top vendors.

Hidester VPN promises to unblock a lot of streaming services in infamous locations, and speed is pretty good, even though you may experience minimal lags. While it does unblock plenty of streaming services, Netflix isn't one of them. If you need a VPN for streaming, take a look at the best VPNs for Netflix.

When you visit the official website, the information is presented in a simple, inviting, and straightforward way making it very easy to understand what Hidester VPN has to offer without a nuisance. By keeping zero logs, Hidester VPN is a good option for privacy-concerned folks. The company doesn’t keep any IP addresses (real and assigned), connection logs, bandwidth, or DNS requests.

In addition, Hidester VPN offers excellent AES-256-CBC TLS 2048 bits encryption and supports OpenVPN as well as their own custom protocols: Camoweb proxy for web browsing, and CamoVPN which acts as a Double VPN to route OpenVPN within an obfuscated tunnel. This provides access to blocked content in censored locations such as China.

Moreover, Hidester VPN offers a kill switch. The company provides feature-loaded custom clients for all major platforms such as Windows, Linux, Mac Os, Android, and iOS. The apps are sleek, intuitive, and includes many tools and modes, but not all of them work. For example, we tried “What’s My IP Address" and it gave us incorrect results.

Hidester VPN has a medium-sized server network of 40 servers pinned across 30 popular countries and offers 5 simultaneous connections as well as unlimited bandwidth.

Moreover, with their 7-day money-back guarantee policy, you can test the app as much as you want before committing to a long-term subscription.

Hidester VPN also supports P2P and offers a lot of payment options including cryptocurrencies, but sadly, it doesn’t provide live chat support, so you’ll have to use their email channel or few tutorials to get the support you need. Even though Hidester VPN may not be as adept as other leading providers in the market, but it shows strong potential giving the fact that it’s still a newborn service provider.

The Bottom Line

A solid newbie VPN

Although it only hit the market in 2017, Hidester is already proving itself to be a competitor. Security features like 256-bit encryption, Double VPN, and a kill-switch are the top of the line. Hidester also promises to unblock streaming content and supports P2P. With 5 simultaneous connections and a 7-day money-back guarantee, we expect this VPN to go far.

Hidester is a solid, new VPN, but we still don't think it's up to scratch with our most highly rated VPNs. We suggest you check them out to see how you could achieve better value for money and enjoy the very best features on the market.

Not bad at all!

Great speed, and amazing price, hard to beat! I was a bit skeptical but eventually convinced. They are improving their server system so to be able to surf even faster (according to their customer service support)

Fast and CamoWEB is the Best

Hello, I am a member since 2 months. I must say i am impressed by the Speed of the CamoWEB protocol. I use it mostly for streaming. I had a configuration question at the beginning and the support was fast to answer. I would recommend it !

Hidester Review.

Not sure what Hidester is doing. I have been using the service for a year. Joined shortly after they began. It was great, but now, I have to say I don't know. It seems they slow down my downloads. I log in to my closest service, ping time starts 46 ms, DL's around 5to6 mgs. with three minutes pings climb to 2600 ms. DL's slow to 86 kb.
