TapVPN Free Review 2024 — Free, but Not Worth the Risks!

Our Score: 6.8/10
Ranked 153rd out of 298 VPNs
Kristina Perunicic Updated on 18th January 2024 Managing Editor

TapVPN is an exclusive service for Android devices only and owned by Mobbo based in California, USA. They aim to provide a safe, fast and secure connection for all users.

With servers based in countries such as USA, UK, Germany, Netherlands, France, Singapore and Japan, they allow users to unblock foreign content that’s otherwise restricted in their current location. Whether you’re in China or the Middle East, you’ll be able to skirt around state-censored networks and access the services you need – Skype, What’s App, Facebook or YouTube. It can even unblock entertainment channels like Netflix, Hulu, Pandora and BBC iPlayer.

Every Android user is restricted to 6GB of free bandwidth per month with TapVPN, which might seem less generous compared to numerous other free VPNs available on the Google Play Store. However, TapVPN compensates for this limitation with its key attributes of speed and reliability.

They advertise themselves as a “WiFi defender" as it’s particularly important that Android users protect their data when surfing public WiFi hotspots. These are prime targets for hackers, snoopers and thieves to intercept unsuspecting web users as many hotspots don’t provide adequate protection. Using a VPN like Tap will ensure that all traffic is encrypted as it enters the VPN server. You can surf securely and anonymously and have peace of mind that no hacker is able to break through and cause havoc.

Users seeking to fly under the radar of surveillance agencies may find that TapVPN falls short of what you truly need to stay incognito. They mention they don’t keep logs, but (there’s always a but) they do keep records of bandwidth usage, connection times and the IP address your of device so your identity can still be traced when using this service.

If you're simply out and about and stuck for a VPN to unlock your favorite sports, movie or music channel then this VPN will easily satisfy. More privacy conscious users might like to seek out an alternative provider with more clout when it comes to data retention policies. Check out global and trusted providers instead, if you want less limitations on bandwidth and maximum security.

A velocidade é excelente.

Tem uma velocidade excelente, acho que poucas vpns tem a velocidade que a Tap tem. Não sei se temos segurança quanto nossos dados, contudo, com relação a velocidade, acredito que é uma das melhores.
