The Safety US Review 2024 — Read This Before Buying

Our Score: 7.3/10
Ranked 99th out of 305 VPNs
Kristina Perunicic Published on 6th February 2024 Managing Editor

TheSafety.US provides users with a safe and secure way to get on the Internet anonymously, offering services in 20 countries around the world. With this service, it is possible to choose between shared dynamic IP addresses as well as dedicated static IP addresses. Because it is available on so many different operating systems, the service should work with most desktop and laptop computers, as well as smartphone devices.

TheSafety.US is a VPN provider with servers in 20 countries, including the US, Canada, France, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Italy, Spain, Germany, and others. TheSafety.US uses PPTP, OpenVPN (TCP and UDP) protocols. It offers double VPN as well, which means that the connection passes through two servers instead of one, thus is encrypted twice. It also offers SOCKS 5 proxy services with online proxies in over 60 different countries. Users can also choose between dedicated static IP addresses and shared dynamic IP addresses.

TheSafety.US is dedicated to ensuring secure internet connections for its users. By offering a robust range of anonymity and security features, the service enables users to bypass website restrictions while safeguarding their online identity and activities from governmental surveillance and potential cyber threats. Additionally, users can access geo-restricted websites and streaming services. TheSafety.US maintains a strict no-logs policy, ensuring that no records of user online activities are retained. Moreover, peer-to-peer sharing is permitted.

TheSafety.US supports Windows, Mac OS X, iOS, Android, and Linux. This means that it works on nearly all desktop and laptop computers, as well as most smartphones and tablets. The service also offers a dedicated VPN client for Windows called Secure Kit. Customer support is efficient and quick to reply. The service's customer support team can be contacted through a hotline, email, live chat and support ticket. Customer support is available both in English and in Russian. There are also extensive FAQs, as well as setup and troubleshooting guides available on the service's website.

TheSafety.US offers two types of services: VPN and SOCKS proxy. Users are given many options, so that they can subscribe to the exact service they want. In the case of the VPN service, users can choose Standard VPN or Double VPN, with dynamic or static IP addresses, or even a VPN service using servers in only one specific location. In the case of the SOCKS5 proxy service, users are also given many options, specifically tailored to the specific user's needs. There is also a 7-day money-back guarantee.

Overall, we don't recommend this VPN. Leading providers like ExpressVPN offer better value and greater protection. You also benefit from a more generous 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can really test the VPN out, risk-free, before making a decision.

The Bottom Line

Older protocols supported by a double VPN approach means its slow but reliable

TheSafety.US has a different setup to most. Instead of having the highest levels of encryption, they use simpler, older protocols. However, to increase anonymity for their users, they use a 'double VPN' approach, passing the connection through 2 servers, to confuse any kind of monitoring. The downside to this, of course, is that the connections are slower. By doubling the number of servers needed to process incoming data, you may struggle to watch streaming TV services, and notice a distinct slowdown in browsing, compared with a direct non-VPN connection. They do, however, also offer a simple proxy service, perfect for those who simply want to watch Netflix, or access geo-restricted websites.
