VPN.sh Review & Test 2019 - Keep This in Mind Before Buying
(Anonymous Cybersecurity Experts)
It is becoming an increasingly dangerous world online. Not to sound overdramatic but malicious hacking, identity fraud, and Government surveillance are all very real threats. 'Big Brother' is watching. VPN.sh promote their services as the ideal way to encrypt your data and keep "prying eyes" from accessing your activities online.
They also advocate their services as "Perfect for the globe-trotter." Get access to your content anywhere around the globe by using their servers. And with 79 servers in 20 countries worldwide, they have a fair number to choose from. Bypass any geo-restrictions and continue surfing the web as you would from anywhere in the world. Located in the UK VPN.SH offers VPN gateways in many international locations such as the USA, the UK, Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand to name just a few of their options.
As with many top VPN companies that we’ve reviewed, VPN.SH uses the most up-to-date encryption methods to help users stay safe and secure online. They protect your privacy and data with PPTP, L2TP and OpenVPN protocols. L2TP and OpenVPN protocols are well known for higher encryption and better security, and the PPTP protocol on top of that offers better speeds and device compatibility.
Choose VPN for protecting a variety of your online activities like emailing, messaging, FTP, VOIP, and browsing. It is also secure enough to shield passwords, financial activities and censor social accounts from surveillance or hackers is you're using the public Wi-Fi hotspots at airports, malls, public parks, hotels and coffee shops.
VPN.SH is also a good service provider for not spying on the online activities of its users. They do capture IP address and bandwidth consumption details, but they use this information for maintenance and troubleshooting. It is worth keeping in mind that the company will co-operate with law enforcement agencies if it is served by a court order.
Though the company has been running since 2012, and until now, their network never supported peer to peer torrenting. As of June 2016, there is still a notice on their site saying, "We are planning to add some specific torrenting servers in May 2016, which all of our current and new clients will be able to access. An email will be sent out once these specific servers are available." This may now be available, but the website has not been updated. Hopefully, they will post an update soon.
There is only one price package available per month, for unlimited bandwidth but no details are given about what kind of speeds you can expect.
Regarding Customer Service: if you're having issues with their service, they have a detailed knowledgebase for the most common issues. Then a ticket support system for anything else after. They also have detailed guides and tutorials to make setting up a breeze.
Nothing overly outstanding about this service provider but they are definitely simple and easy to use and offer an excellent price monthly. Good value for money.
