Astrill VPN and Trust.Zone are among the most popular VPNs on the market, trusted for the way they prioritize security across all platforms. Unlimited bandwidth, 256-bit encryption, and P2P are all provided by these two VPNs. Both Astrill and Trust.Zone also provide protection from tracking and public wi-fi hacking. In addition, both offer a kill switch and support for multiple encryption protocols, including OpenVPN and L2TP across all platforms. Astrill offers a Stealth VPN protocol and split tunneling across all its apps, features you won’t get with Trust.Zone. Also, Trust.Zone only provides a dedicated app for Windows, while Astrill offers apps for Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Android. Nevertheless, Trust.Zone can easily be integrated across all platforms either manually or via the universal OpenVPN app. In terms of network sizes, Trust.Zone offers around 164 servers in 32 countries, while Astril provides over 300 in 63 countries. These two VPNs also reliably unblock US Netflix and similar geoblocked media sites, although Trust.Zone’s superior speed is worth noting. Read on as we compare these two providers across multiple categories to help you pick out which is better for you.

 The Bottom Line

Although Trust.Zone offers no mobile apps and may be less user-friendly for VPN newbies, its prioritization of security, consistent high speeds, and transparent no-logs policy make it the winner of this contest. Trust.Zone could certainly make improvements, especially by providing dedicated mobile and MacOS apps, but this shortcoming is largely offset by the VPN’s easy manual configuration and very budget-friendly subscription prices. However, if you need a VPN that works in China, Astrill is the clear choice, since Trust.Zone can’t get past China’s Great Firewall of censorship.

Interestingly, if you compare Trust.Zone with RoboForm, which is our top ranked vpn, you'll see that Trust.Zone can learn a lot from RoboForm. Compare Trust.Zone with RoboForm
