CyberGhost and Norton Secure VPN, two well-known names in the cyber world, offer VPN services that are smart options depending on your needs. CyberGhost VPN delivers military-grade encryption with support for OpenVPN, L2TP-IPsec, and PPTP protocols on your network and public wi-fi, supports 7 devices at once, and gives you access to 11,690+ servers. Norton Secure VPN, also called Norton WiFi Privacy, offers bank-grade encryption even on public wi-fi networks, with one to 10 devices per subscription, and servers in 60 countries. Norton Secure VPN claims to keep a no-logs policy, but it does collect some anonymized data for its own research, although it won't obtain your originating IP address. It is located in the US which makes it subject to the requirements of the Five-Eyes Alliance, and it does not allow torrenting. At the same time, it blocks ads, malware, tracking, and other threats. CyberGhost is one of the most affordable VPNs on the market — you can get a subscription for as low as $2.03/month. I sometimes assume that price indicates quality, but with VPNs, I've been proven wrong before. So I wanted to see whether CyberGhost can really deliver at such a low price. I did a deep dive into CyberGhost’s privacy policy and security measures to determine whether it’s secu...

    Simple To Use

Great interface and is very intuitive. Many locations with reasonably fast speeds. There are a lot of ... essential features I like as well. Wireguard, Wifi Protect, Etc. I took out the 2-year plan at a fair discount so I can say that, given the price, it's a decent balance of quantity and quality.More

    Pretty good

CyberGhost does not connect automatically in pc when I connect online. Why? And on my phone (Android)...  it sometimes gets stuck, it does not open the app when vpn is working. I have to connect the VPN in my phone settings first. That is pretty annoying.More

Norton is one of the biggest names in cybersecurity, and many Norton 360 packages include a VPN. Since its antivirus software is so popular, you might think you don’t need to look elsewhere for further protection. But can Norton really compete with the top VPNs? After testing all its features, I recommend trying Norton VPN if it comes with your 360 package. It can definitely keep you safe, b...

    Best VPN by Category

    Best VPN Overall

CyberGhost is a top VPN that has more than 11,690 servers in 100 countries, including specific P2P servers, and the ability to consistently work with popular streaming platforms. We also like the automated options for its kill switch and its 45-day money-back guarantee. Norton Secure VPN has servers in 60 countries and works well with various streaming platforms US services at home or in public, but it does not support torrenting functions.

    Best VPN for Torrents

CyberGhost offers hundreds of servers dedicated to torrenting and no bandwidth caps or limitations, keeping you safe and giving multiple options for each region. Torrents are not supported on the Norton Secure VPN, and it even has a specific "Warning: Torrent Traffic Active" message that displays before it disables the VPN connection.

    Best VPN for Windows

CyberGhost supports Windows Vista and newer PCs with military-grade encryption, fast servers, a one-click launch, and smart rules for advanced network management. Norton Secure VPN builds well on the Norton security brand by offering you great security and high-quality, bank-grade encryption like CyberGhost, plus it offers a range of server locations and ad blocking for a broad set of Windows devices.

    Best VPN for Android

Phones, tablets, and TVs get Android support with dedicated apps from CyberGhost. You receive a one-day free trial with 24/7 support, 256-bit AES encryption, public wi-fi security, and can enjoy access to 11,690+ servers. Androids running 4.1 or later can use Norton Secure VPN's app that users say is fast, reliable, and doesn't drain your battery. We couldn’t find a test trial for it but did note it offered 256-bit AES encryption and wi-fi protections.

    Best VPN for Mac

CyberGhost is compatible with MacOS 10.12 and up. It delivers reliable and quick speeds, and offers one-click connections, streaming of top content, P2P on dedicated servers, and data compression for images as you browse. Norton Secure VPN provides Mac users with high-quality encryption at fast speeds and protects a wide range of streaming and other activities, but does not allow torrents.

    Best VPN for iOS

CyberGhost’s iOS app for the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch offers unlimited bandwidth, safe wi-fi and cell network protection, OpenVPN, L2TP-IPsec, and PPTP protocols. It is constantly being updated and allows up to 7 simultaneous connections. Norton Secure VPN performs well on iOS devices making changing locations easy. It offers clear privacy options and uses bank-grade encryption to limit logs, leaks, and other potential threats.

    Best VPN for USA

With its wide range of US servers, CyberGhost has the ability to work with popular streaming platforms such as Netflix, HBO GO, Hulu, ESPN, YouTube, and many others. The service maintains a strict no-logs policy and ensures unlimited bandwidth. On the other hand, Norton Secure VPN provides fast and secure connections for popular US services like HBO and Netflix, guaranteeing data privacy. In addition, Norton Secure VPN offers features such as ad blocking, tracking-blocking, and malware protection.

    The Bottom Line

Your choice is a hard one because CyberGhost is an established VPN with amazing servers and P2P support, while Norton is a trusted name in cybersecurity and malware protection. CyberGhost is a high-quality VPN that offers some stellar services and has a strict no-logs policy. It works with up to 7 devices at a time on fast servers, with DNS and IP leak protection, safe P2P action, plenty of leading apps and services, and reliably works Netflix and other leading streaming services, all with its military-grade encryption. Its customer service isn’t always the most helpful, but they are available 24/7. Norton Secure VPN provides fast connections across 60 locations, but its actual server count isn’t clear. The company blocks P2P activities on its network but does have apps that customers love on all major platforms, works with most streaming platforms, and uses standard Norton support to manage trouble tickets, which can be hit or miss. It doesn’t log your data, but its location in the US means it might collect some information and share it when required.
