Which VPN is better?

ExpressVPN and VyprVPN are based out of the British Virgin Islands and Switzerland, respectively. This gives Express a slight lead on privacy, as the British Virgin Islands is an extremely privacy-friendly country, while Switzerland, though not located in a 5-eyes country, is considered a second-tier cooperative country. Both VPNs work well in getting around the Great Firewall of China, though VyprVPN does have a slight edge with its Chameleon technology, preventing deep packet inspection. Vypr boasts a large country and server count, but Express, as usual, takes the lead in this regard by quite a bit. Though neither is particularly strong in this department, Express also comes out ahead by 1 in simultaneous connections, with 3 versus Vypr’s 2. Surprisingly, VyprVPN also does not accept Bitcoin for payment (most leading VPNs do), putting Express ahead here as well.

Many VPNs claim to be the fastest, but trust us when we say ExpressVPN is telling the truth. It’s our top pick for streaming movies and TV shows with their unlimited bandwidth and more than 1,000 servers in over 100 locations. Besides for having great encryption and security, ExpressVPN does not log any traffic data or DNS queries, allows P2P on all of their servers (a rarity among VPNs), has

What have you got to lose? Yeah, the price is a bit high but if you 're not satisfied you can get a full refund in the first month. Works with Netflix, HBO and Hulu. Great for at home but even better for those who are abroad...!

Overrated vpn service Really overrated and overpriced vpn service. The speed are really poor especially with US servers. The only thing customer service offers is to get refunded instead of trying to solve your problem. They should really pay more attention to speeds as rated very good and sometimes take a look to chats what customer guys are typing

Our testing of VyprVPN has shown it to be straightforward and enjoyable. Everything worked flawlessly and the software is very easy to get the hang of, even for new users of VPNs. VyprVPN has one noticeable advantage over its rivals. They have a technology called Chameleon, which is designed to reduce the recognizability of data to those who may want to intercept what you are doing, making this s

One of the best VPN services I tried, simple to use, comes with an app, plenty of servers to pick from! I had VyprVPN as part of my Giganews account. It's been great! I have a 100 Mbps download speed, and 10 Mbps upload, with fiber to the basement. I normally get about 90 Mbps download and 13 Mbps upload. With the VPN I get about 75 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.

Not a good VPN if you care about privacy or torrenting The good: -Was able to watch Netflix in US, Australia, and New Zealand. The other countries I tried were blocked (including the UK) as Netflix detected them as a VPN The bad: (Phew, where to start?) -THEY ARE TRACKING YOU: VyprVPN tracks what you are doing while you're connected to their service despite the claim on their privacy statement "What Golden Frog Does Not Collect From VyprVPN Sessions: Does not log a user's traffic or the content of any communications." This is obviously false because: -COPYRIGHT NOTICES: If they detect you are torrenting, you will be sent a DMCA copyright infringement notice by email and your service will be blocked until you sign an affirmation that you will not do it again. Refusal to sign means your service will forever be blocked. -BAD CUSTOMER SUPPORT: After I was sent an email that I had downloaded copyrighted material and that my service was blocked, I contacted support via live chat telling them I wanted to cancel my service. I asked for a PARTIAL refund since there was still 20 days left of the month that I would not be using. I did not ask for a full refund of the month, just the unused portion of the 20 days left! Not an unreasonable request, I think. The support person told me they had a strict no-refund policy. After arguing back and forth about why I didn't want to sign their affirmation and that they were the ones blocking my use of their product, the customer service agent told me he was going to end the chat! I find their attitude was quite inflexible and not customer-friendly. -NO REFUNDS, EVER: My request for even a partial refund was denied even though they blocked my service.

 The Bottom Line

While both VPNs are very strong, and both are in our top 5 category, Express takes the lead. Even with VyprVPN’s Chameleon technology, which offers very strong encryption, it is difficult to ignore the benefits that Express brings to the table, like their excellent customer service (24/7 chat), 14 methods of payment, ability to access Torrents on all servers and built-in speed test. Not to mention that Express is quite adept at getting through to Netflix, while Vypr, though not yet out of the fight, is known to have some issues. We have to go with Express on this one. More Info
