PrivateVPN advertises itself as one of the best VPNs for streaming at a low price. It also claims to have great torrenting support, strong security features, and a true no-logs policy. However, PrivateVPN is a small company, so we set out to determine if it can compete with the biggest VPNs. My team and I tested out everything it offers. Can you use PrivateVPN for streaming? Our tests revealed...

    Works Great for many years.

I've been using their service for a great many years, and I'm very pleased indeed. Great service and s... upport, and more than enough speed for covering my needs. As long as they have coverage in countries I need to connect to, the number of servers in total is less relevant, as long as the servers they Do have provide enough speeds. They also support Wireguard, which is seldom mentioned in these reviews, probably since they don't have it in their native app, but they do and it's rock solid using that with their provided config files, and that in and of itself also increases the connection speeds, at least for me. All in all, they provide anything and all I want from a VPN provider. What others see as a downside, split tunneling and such, I see as a strength. I want my VPN provider to stick their nose in my business as little as possible, but rather provide a "clean VPN line" and then let Me decide what to do with my routing table. In short, they're Great, for my needs, but others will have to test and make up their own minds. :-DMore

Unptofessional VPN with fake paid review

Comparitech team, stop spreding fake paid review of one of the worst unprofessional VPN! First they wi... ll make you fake promise that their VPN will work, then suddnely some server will stop working and as 30 day refund policy has passed by that time, even though they cannot serve your need, they will deny your refund request and if you get angry due to their lame excuse then they will use this excuse to terminate your account! Dont waste your single penny on this VPN!More

Unlocator advertises itself as a VPN/Smart DNS hybrid. But, many popular VPNs offer smart DNS features. So, is this combo service actually worth it? I tested everything Unlocator has to offer. My global team and I tried it with tons of popular streaming platforms available in our countries. I also tested its speeds, security features, customer support, gaming capabilities, and more. My tests...

    Generally good, improved customer service

I only use Unlocator for unblocking national DR tv with registered log in requirement since 2024. Appr... eciate multi playform use and DNS functionality on Apple tv for easy unblocking of georestrictions. Over the last 5 months there have been multiple access problems linked to perhaps interrelated things as log in requirement, subtitling (caused breakdown), lack of screen info packages not sent. All spread inconsistently over two platforms, i.e. iPad and Apple tv. After an initial period of 2 months with no solution, but a firm promise to come back when a solution was found, Unlocator actually came back and issued several faster releases with better and better, though not perfectly stable solutions. But big improvements in up time as well as polite support for problems that are genuily complicated.More

    The Bottom Line

Final Verdict — Tons of Value For a Great Price PrivateVPN is one of the most impressive VPNs available today. It works great for streaming, and it’s always given me smooth playback. The service also performed excellently in my torrenting and gaming tests. Plus, it’s super privacy-friendly and protects your device with military-grade encryption. There are a few areas where it could improve. It doesn’t have as many servers as its larger competitors. And it’s not the fastest VPN I’ve tested, although it should give most people decent speeds. I’d also like to see a few more security features and compatibility options added to it. Overall, most people will get great value for their money with PrivateVPN. If you need a VPN with the most advanced technology and a massive server network, I’d recommend paying a little more for ExpressVPN. However, you won’t find much better if you need a
