These three VPN services offer great protection of your data, along with some extra features that make their service even more appealing. Hotspot Shield helps protect you on the go and even provides a longer trial period during which you can cancel your membership. The only problem with this trial is that it purposely doesn't have all of the features that you would likely use if you purchased the real deal. PureVPN offers services like Split Tunneling (for when you need a specific type of IP address for one site, but not others) and has servers located in over 100 countries around the world. In addition, their user interface is easy to understand and even easier to use. SurfEasy can help to put your mind at ease since they don’t log any data at all. All three of these services allow you to connect 5 devices at a time to their service to protect data on multiple devices.

PureVPN assisted the FBI by providing them with a potential cybercriminal’s data back in 2017, making its customers doubt its privacy procedures. Since then, the company has spent a great deal of time making improvements to its service. I wanted to test whether the improvements have made as much of a difference as I hoped. Overall, I was seriously impressed with PureVPN’s test results. I h...

An excellent value, all things considered

While they will absolutely throttle p2p in most servers, it's easy to find and log into the p2p server... s. They responded promptly when I had questions (although once it was basically to say "sorry, tough luck"). Overall though, I think I paid something like $20 for a year's subscription - I really can't complain. I'm sold on the service, although I think the fact that it's based out of HK is a bit spooky. 9/10More

Below par, look elsewhere

Pricewise, it is reasonable. For the past three years, I have had many problems with connecting to int... ernational TV channels. Mainly the UK's, BBC, ITV, and Channel 4. They were unaccessible 50% of the time, their message stating that only UK customers are allowed! Very frustrating. Also, the download speed when connected to PureVPN was extremely slow, with endless rotating circles and waits. Totally unacceptable. On requesting help from PureVPN, the assistance was inadequate. I was given a link and asked to find my way. At other times I was instructed to change protocol and other ridiculous commands that the majority of subscribers would not remotely understand! Unhelpful for the subscribers who are not IT pros!! My subscription has few months till expiry, but I have switched to another VPN supplier which has proven to be simpler to operate, faster, and so far, has been able to access my chosen channels effortlessly. I was frequently unable to watch my programs, angered and frustrated with this service and their responses to my requests for help. I do not recommend PureVPN and would suggest that for a few dollars more, potential subscribers should look elsewhere.More

Hotspot Shield is a popular VPN service with over 650 million users and multiple servers in 110+ countries. In fact, the website claims it is the #1 grossing app for productivity in the US App Store. (When we checked the App Store source, it actually indicated #8, which is still an impressive ranking.) One of the features that make Hotspot Shield special is its unique Catapult Hydra protoco...

Great Interface, easy to use and smooth/zippy.

It just feels well put together. Turns on automatically, which is no bad thing (if you don't like that... , turn the damn thing off with a click). The speed is consistently above average, and on a couple of inadvertent occasions, the Kill Switch operated as it should. I especially like the GUI, which is really simple, solid, yet has a refined/slick feel - far superior to a few I've tried but won't name here. I see no issues with it, although the security issues pointed out in the article are a bit alarming. I'm using the 'Business' version. Nice VPN, IMO.More

SurfEasy is a VPN only provider from Opera, a Canadian software company with many years of experience. Like our top VPNs (IPVanish and ExpressVPN, which we suggest you take a look at), SurfEasy offers the general package of what you would expect with a VPN. The service offers protocols and encryption. They have over a thousand servers in thirteen different countries, including Brazil, Austral...

Been using for over a year with no issues

It works well on my Android phones. I've had no issues with speed, dropped connections, etc. What I di... d find interesting with this pages review is that they recommend NordVPN over SE because "it's more trustworthy", yet Nord was hacked recently. So in the end, no VPN could be safe.More

They additionally have some great coupon discounts available for a limited amount of time.

The Bottom Line

PureVPN has the lowest price among all of the services, but still offers a lot. With IP addresses across the globe, you’ll be able to access Netflix everywhere. The company offers split tunneling for the cases where a certain country’s IP address is necessary for you to do something. Besides that, the company is constantly innovating and easy to reach. If you run into a problem with their website, they’ll be easier to get a hold of than Hotspot Shield. Compared to the other VPNs, PureVPN is going above and beyond.
