Which VPN is better?

When looking at VPN services, you need to consider what your priorities are. Is anonymous payment important to you? Are simultaneous connections a high priority? Is a live chat feature critical to your choice? NordVPN would satisfy some of these needs, while TorGuard will satisfy others. If you want to watch Netflix from outside of the US, Nord is the only one of the two who can slip under the radar. One of the drawbacks to TorGuard is the application of their kill switch, which is available but must be done manually, whereas Nord’s is very easy to implement. Both services do allow anonymous payment, as well as the use of Bitcoin. Both allow you to connect using your desired protocol and cost-wise, they are similar. Nord also runs out of Panama, giving users the confidence that they are safe from the prying eyes of the government. Finally, NordVPN offers users 30 days to request a refund, whereas Torguard only allows for 7 days.

NordVPN is surely the most popular VPN provider, but does this mean it is also the best one? What I saw is that they do not have one “killer feature,” but rather a combination of supreme security, careful attention to privacy, and a handy support that’s one click away. For this review, I tried to tackle NordVPN and find flaws in their product, but I’m not sure I succeeded. Sure, I found a few t

Best VPN I have used I had switched from a previous VPN after reading more on logging and features, I have never had a problem with NordVPN. I did read a review that it did not have kill switch but my version for Android app and Windows 10 has a kill switch to kill the app or the internet if VPN disconnected, works great.

375 Mbps reduced to 12 Mbps Great in the first 30 days then extreme bandwidth issues after committing to the 2-year plan. Technical support is largely scripted within a 'defer and delay' paradigm. Bandwidth degraded to 12Mbps (of 375Mbps). Same 'troubleshooting' approach on each of my 3 interactions with their 'technical support'. Strict adherence to a 'no problem on our side' mentality. These guys will send you on every fool's errand in their playbook until you accept the bandwidth capping or leave. Switched to ExpressVPN and have not looked back.

TorGuard might be considered a little pricey compared to other VPN services in the market, however, the level of security and the countless features it provides makes it worth the money. Starting off with its security standards, TorGuard uses military-grade encryption (BF CBC, AES 128-bit, AES 256-bit) to secure its entire network of servers. It supports multiple security protocols including O

No major complaints Their support is probably the best I've ever received, with responses within a few minutes. Their android app however needs some improvement with more frequent updates need, but the windows version seems to have no issues. Their recent anyconnect vpn service addition seems to work much faster than openvpn at its highest cypher setting.

Don't use if you want BBC I stopped using TorGuard after receiving this after signing up in June 2017.... "Thank you for contacting us. At the moment all of our shared servers have been blocked by BBC." Great set-up, easy interface and good speeds, but the above is a complete killer for me so no good.

 The Bottom Line

Considering everything, NordVPN is the leader in our review. It is easily configurable (or able to be more extensively configured depending on your needs and/or skills), fast and stable. If you are using a VPN in a country like China, either service is a great choice for different reasons. Both offer live chat support, and both offer Linux support. One thing to consider is that TorGuard does not offer a free trial period. When it comes down to it, NordVPN is the winner; they have the right balance of the right features at a good price, especially with a coupon. More Info
