Which VPN is better?

There is a lot to be said about both VyprVPN and NordVPN. They are excellent products, each with respective merits. Both have a VPN kill switch (should you require it), a free trial and a 30-day money back guarantee. Both offer Open VPN; however, VyprVPN has a slick technology called Chameleon, which makes it very difficult to recognize your data (very useful if you are in a country like China). Speaking of which, both NordVPN and VyprVPN are extremely useful in censorship-heavy places like China. VyprVPN has a ton of servers all around the world- a few more than NordVPN does, and is very fast. NordVPN has the advantage of not being in the category of enemy of the internet, nor is it based in a fourteen-eyes country. Nord also accepts anonymous methods of payment, such as Bitcoin.

NordVPN is surely the most popular VPN provider, but does this mean it is also the best one? What I saw is that they do not have one “killer feature,” but rather a combination of supreme security, careful attention to privacy, and a handy support that’s one click away. For this review, I tried to tackle NordVPN and find flaws in their product, but I’m not sure I succeeded. Sure, I found a few t

Best VPN I have used I had switched from a previous VPN after reading more on logging and features, I have never had a problem with NordVPN. I did read a review that it did not have kill switch but my version for Android app and Windows 10 has a kill switch to kill the app or the internet if VPN disconnected, works great.

375 Mbps reduced to 12 Mbps Great in the first 30 days then extreme bandwidth issues after committing to the 2-year plan. Technical support is largely scripted within a 'defer and delay' paradigm. Bandwidth degraded to 12Mbps (of 375Mbps). Same 'troubleshooting' approach on each of my 3 interactions with their 'technical support'. Strict adherence to a 'no problem on our side' mentality. These guys will send you on every fool's errand in their playbook until you accept the bandwidth capping or leave. Switched to ExpressVPN and have not looked back.

Our testing of VyprVPN has shown it to be straightforward and enjoyable. Everything worked flawlessly and the software is very easy to get the hang of, even for new users of VPNs. VyprVPN has one noticeable advantage over its rivals. They have a technology called Chameleon, which is designed to reduce the recognizability of data to those who may want to intercept what you are doing, making this

Great VPN if you are in China I used several VPN services in China. Most of them work bad or simply not work! VyprVPN works always wherever I used it (iPhone, Mac, Windows). Connects quickly and with the Chameleon protocol seems not to be blocked in China. I really recommend it to use if you need to use Google Services, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc... in China. For the price you get a good quality service and you can connect up to 5 devices with the same account. Totally recommend it!

Use a different VPN but especially for File Sharing Vypr VPN is not a good VPN for a variety of reasons and you should use a different service. Vypr VPN is an especially bad VPN if you plan to use any kind of filesharing service. Vypr receive complaints from copyright holders, forward them on to you and suspend your service if they deem you to have participated in file sharing. I was ok for 6 months with Vypr then they alleged I had shared an episode of the latest Season of Rick and Morty. They suspended my account and would not unlock it unless I confirmed that I would cease breaking copyright law. I would not acknowledge breaking copyright law in the first place so could not unlock my service and it remained suspended. Vypr refused to give me a refund and effectively stole 6 months of my annual VPN subscription or $78 USD. They did not even respond to me when I wrote to them and asked for a refund. If that doesn't put you off ponder this. How can Vyper receive a frivolous legal threat from a Hollywood lawyer and forward it on to a customer who is using their service if they are not maintaining some kind of log of customer activity? I moved on to a cheaper VPN that supports Utorrent and have been happy with that service.

 The Bottom Line

Both VPNs are strong, stable and easy to use (Vypr maybe edges forward a bit here) and are definitely recommended by us, but NordVPN is the winner by a relatively small margin. It really depends on what you are looking for in a VPN. Both can access Netflix (as of this writing!). Nord allows 6 connections to Vypr’s 2; this certainly can influence your decision. Nord also has more flexibility in its setup and allows you to select which protocol you use, depending on your activity. While the winner here is NordVPN, you can feel comfortable choosing either as they are both excellent contenders. More Info
