    Which VPN is better?

PrivateVPN and Tuxler tend to both appear in searches for easy to use, free VPNs (Tuxler is completely free and PrivateVPN has a 7-day free trial). So which one should you go for? Here are the main points I looked into when choosing which is best.

Both VPNs can unblock big streaming sites like HBO Max and Hulu, though PrivateVPN helped me access a few more sites than Tuxler (Tuxler can't unblock Netflix or BBC iPlayer).

Neither service has the best speeds though — probably due to them both having fairly small networks (Tuxler has 3,000 servers in 92 countries and PrivateVPN has 200 servers in 63 countries). Tuxler's connections can be slow and unreliable, while PrivateVPN's servers vary in speeds depending on your location.

As I mentioned before, you can use both VPNs for free (though PrivateVPN only for 7 days). Tuxler is a completely free service, but it does have a paid version that slightly increases your speeds (not by much, sadly). PrivateVPN's paid plans are still pretty affordable too, and it comes with a 30-day guarantee. Tuxler's paid version doesn't have a refund policy.

When it comes to security however, there's a pretty big difference. I think PrivateVPN is safer to use than Tuxler; read on to find out why.

PrivateVPN advertises itself as one of the best VPNs for streaming at a low price. It also claims to have great torrenting support, strong security features, and a true no-logs policy. But PrivateVPN is a small company, so can it compete with the biggest VPNs? To learn the answer, I tested out everything it offers. My global team and I found out if it really lets you stream securely in the bes...

    Works Great for many years.

I've been using their service for a great many years, and I'm very pleased indeed. Great service and s... upport, and more than enough speed for covering my needs. As long as they have coverage in countries I need to connect to, the number of servers in total is less relevant, as long as the servers they Do have provide enough speeds. They also support Wireguard, which is seldom mentioned in these reviews, probably since they don't have it in their native app, but they do and it's rock solid using that with their provided config files, and that in and of itself also increases the connection speeds, at least for me. All in all, they provide anything and all I want from a VPN provider. What others see as a downside, split tunneling and such, I see as a strength. I want my VPN provider to stick their nose in my business as little as possible, but rather provide a "clean VPN line" and then let Me decide what to do with my routing table. In short, they're Great, for my needs, but others will have to test and make up their own minds. :-DMore

    Been There

I've been using PrivateVPN for a year. The main reason was due to good price. It's slow, on certain ho... urs of the day you can't watch video smoothly. They have down time or some other problem frequently and it take ages to fix it. Customer support are so poor that my mum without IT knowledge could probably do a better job. Now I switched to another one and feelings for PrivateVPN is much worse because I have something to compare withMore

Tuxler is a free service that assigns you a residential IP address to mask the fact you are using a proxy. That means no one will notice you are using an anonymity service. A residential IP address is simply an IP associated with a home address instead of a business. This makes Tuxler ideal for any home user who wants to browse the web without geo-restrictions. It is reasonably priced and is h...

    For me, the best VPN.

I Cant understand this review. I have been using this VPN for 3 years and I think that this is the bes... t VPN because using this VPN you can access EVERY site. For example. I couldn't access the bet365 site using another VPN. The second very important and crucial thing is that nobody can find out that you are using a VPN! Because of residential addresses. Other VPNs are using their own IP and when You access sites, owners can check that You are using a VPN. Tuxler is exceptional.More

    It's very dangerous!

It's trying to take your browser administration. You don't know about it if you don't have a security ... app to discover if malware gets in your computer. I got the warning but accepted to access this VPN. And then I got hacked by this VPN, it takes your data, your logs, your key your store in autofill in your web browser.More

    Best VPN by Category

    Best VPN Overall

PrivateVPN is better overall because it's much safer to use. Tuxler works by allowing users to connect to each other's IP addresses — which could land you in hot water if someone uses your IP address for illegal online activity. PrivateVPN has excellent security measures that make it a better bet for privacy.

    Best VPN for Torrents

PrivateVPN is better because it supports unlimited P2P file sharing and has a strict no-logs policy, kill switch, and leak protection to keep you safe as you torrent. Some of its servers even support port forwarding, giving you even faster downloads and uploads.

    Best VPN for Windows

PrivateVPN is better because its Windows app comes complete with an automatic kill switch. It's also compatible with a range of Windows devices using Windows XP, 7, 8.1, and Windows 10.

    Best VPN for Android

PrivateVPN is better because its Android app is compatible with a range of devices including Android smartphones, Amazon Fire Stick, Galaxy Tab, and Chromebook. The VPN's website even has detailed setup guides for each.

    Best VPN for Mac

PrivateVPN is better because it supports nearly every macOS. It also gives you the choice between using the VPN's native Mac app or manually installing OpenVPN with Viscosity — giving you flexibility over how you use the VPN with your Mac device.

    Best VPN for iOS

PrivateVPN is better because its iOS app is well-designed and easy to use, even if you're new to VPNs. It even offers remote installation assistance, so you can get started without any complicated setup.

    Best VPN for USA

PrivateVPN is better for the US as it has 10+ servers in the country. You get access to a range of American sites and services including Netflix US, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, HBO Max, and more.

    The Bottom Line

I would always choose PrivateVPN over Tuxler as I don't trust Tuxler's method of operating. Plus, PrivateVPN is much more reliable for speeds and unblocking — it helped me access nearly every one of my paid-for streaming accounts.

Even better, you can try PrivateVPN for free with its free trial, or use its 30-day money-back guarantee to test the VPN for even longer.
