Windscribe and VPN Unlimited feature very user-friendly apps with bright designs for all major platforms including Windows, MacOS, Android, and iOS. Both providers are well established and known for their support for torrenting and ability to bypass tough geoblocks on content providers like Netflix. If you’re interested in features like tracking and wi-fi protection, along with unlimited bandwidth, you can find all of these with either provider. However, Windscribe does place a 10GB monthly usage limit on its free version. Windscribe’s unique features include time zone spoofing and Split Personality, which makes your browser harder to footprint. VPN Unlimited competes strongly with unique obfuscation technology and multiple encryption protocols. It also offers dedicated IP addresses at an extra cost. One of the most noticeable differences between these providers is that while VPN Unlimited allows up to five simultaneous connections per subscriber, Windscribe allows unlimited device connections at the same time. Read on to see which VPN claims victory.

VPN Unlimited comes across as a very capable VPN, with its main focus being optimized streaming performance. I wanted to see if it delivered on this promise, and to test whether its security, privacy, and customer service stacks up against the best VPNs in the industry. While it certainly delivered on some of its assertions, unfortunately, it fell short in some essential areas. For example, i...

    Very Happy with Lifetime license

I picked up a lifetime license and honestly, it's been "solid". It delivers at good speeds, no leaks ... so far have been detected. Offers a wide range of streaming options & Protocols. I've contacted customer service several times and received replies quickly. The servers for P2p are limited to three locations but are still very functional. I'd appreciate a public audit of how secure the service is but it seems none of this info is published for customers, or potential customers to view.More

    Definitely honey pot

Stay away, none of streaming services mentioned works, support may be courteous but will not solve pro... blems. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and others may work for a while but eventually your data will be sold to requesting parties and you get blocked.More

After its security breach, many people aren't sure if they can trust Windscribe — one of the most popular free VPNs. If it couldn't protect its servers, can you really rely on it to keep you safe, especially without a subscription? I tested every feature Windscribe has, including performing leak tests and speed checks and testing it for torrenting, gaming, and more. I also thoroughly investiga...

    Windscribe = Unprofessional

If you are looking for a new synonym of the word unprofessional there you go you found it! Windscribe ... is not a company is just a joke that makes money from scamming people thinking they getting VPN services... Even after all these years they still do silly pranks on their supposedly customers by tricking them with a fake 1 year of free PRO service and days later telling it was just a joke as everything they do are for them... The only positive thing you can take from all of this is that if they can run a joke company and make money so can you... But will you still sleep at nights... That's up to you...More

    Best VPN by Category

    Best VPN Overall

VPN Unlimited by KeepSolid is a very robust service with a fairly large network, multiple encryption levels, and support for multiple VPN protocols. If user-friendliness is a top priority for you, however, you might prefer the easy-to-use, handy features in Windscribe’s apps.

    Best VPN for Torrents

VPN Unlimited allows torrenting, although all P2P activities are restricted to its servers in five countries. You can also torrent using Windscribe’s service, as it supports P2P file sharing on many of its servers.

    Best VPN for Windows

VPN Unlimited offers a dedicated Windows app with DNS leak protection and access to more than 400 servers worldwide. Windscribe’s VPN app for Windows features malware protection, ad blocking, and a very user-friendly interface.

    Best VPN for Android

If you need an Android VPN app that features a kill switch, wi-fi protection and a 7-day free trial, you should consider VPN Unlimited. Windscribe competes with a dedicated Android app that features ad blocking, tracking protection, and access to the service’s free limited version.

    Best VPN for Mac

One of the best features of VPN Unlimited’s dedicated MacOS app is its unique KeepSolid Wise obfuscation technology, which allows you to bypass very tough geoblocks worldwide. With Windscribe’s dedicated MacOS app, you can expect to find a built-in firewall and features such as ad blocking and automatic wi-fi protection.

    Best VPN for iOS

By offering a dedicated app with features such as 256-bit encryption, unlimited server switching, and support for the OpenVPN and IKEv2 protocols, VPN Unlimited provides a very robust service for iOS users. Windscribe also offers an iOS app and would be the ideal choice if you have numerous iOS devices, since it supports an unlimited number of simultaneous connections per account.

    Best VPN for USA

With numerous US servers including several dedicated to unblocking Netflix, VPN Unlimited offers a very reliable service for the USA. If you need improved streaming speeds, VPN Unlimited also offers dedicated IPs at an additional cost. Windscribe, on the other hand, offers a competitive service for the US and features Windflix servers that unblock Netflix and other US content providers with ease.

    The Bottom Line

By offering a larger network, multiple encryption levels, advanced DNS leak protection, and unique obfuscation technology, VPN Unlimited wins this tightly contested comparison. Both providers offer user-friendly apps, but you will likely find VPN Unlimited’s service more innovative and easier to use overall. In addition, VPN Unlimited offers more responsive customer support, 24/7. One area in which VPN Unlimited could definitely improve is the cost of subscriptions, especially given that the fastest speeds are only available by obtaining a dedicated server at an extra cost. If you’re willing to commit for a year or more, you’ll find that top providers like NordVPN and CyberGhost offer more budget-friendly services with consistently high speeds and more advanced features.
