Both PureVPN and Astrill are 2 of the top VPNs in the market currently. However, of the 2 service providers, one clearly tops the other one by a few features that are definitely praiseworthy and required for a flawless service. Although both providers help in keeping the user information confidential, PureVPN actually provides access to more IP addresses than is possible with Astrill. Both VPNs can be used on any device and operating system, even Linux. Additionally, they can access over 750 servers throughout many countries across the globe. As far as the packages go, both are fairly priced and easy on the pockets. Speed is excellent for both; however, it’s also where Astrill beats PureVPN by a hefty margin. Hence, as far as accessing Netflix is concerned with Astrill, one wouldn’t have any trouble in running it smoothly. One unique feature on PureVPN goes by the name of Split tunneling, which allows users to maintain two addresses while accessing websites of two different countries on one device. So, whether you are accessing torrents or a bank website in your country, or both at the same time, PureVPN will take care of it for you.

Astrill’s marketing team does a great job of advertising it as one of the best VPNs out there — but are they telling the truth about how good it is?
I went ahead and tested its every feature and analyzed its privacy policies and security measures to see if it’s good enough to recommend. I also paid good attention to its server network, speeds, torrenting support, gaming, streaming and fi...
Been using it for a long time.. but have to goI have been using Astrill for more than 10 years. Never had a problem. A couple of times I used the chat for support and it was excellent.
However this is probably going to be my last year. Reason .... price.
With the virus crisis I am unemployed and can not afford it. They do not give any kind of discount and keep raising the price year after year.
I am not in China so I suspend it, I do not need all those features.

Astril are not interested in keeping regular customersI agreed. Astrill increases the price year after year. I have been using Astril for 5 years. I paid 75 USD to 120 USD. I have a friend that paid 400 USD one time! If you don't delete history and cookies they show the high price. Tricky! They don't have a special price for regular customs. THEY'RE NOT INTERESTED IN KEEPING REGULAR CUSTOMERS. Too greedy! Done with them too!
PureVPN is a premium service that operates 2,000+ servers in 140+ countries. It offers unlimited bandwidth, P2P compatibility, and high-end security features including military-level encryption and port forwarding.
Even better, it can unblock Netflix. But it's not as reliable as our top 10 recommended VPNs, since the speeds were slow and the quality was poor.
Streaming – Does PureVPN Work wi...
3 years as a customerBeen using Pure VPN for 3 years without any issues. I always disable auto-renew and buy a year's deal on discount at around £12 for the year. These deals can be found on many deals sites if you look around. Speeds are fine at around 2 thirds of my unconnected speeds testing from UK based servers and neighboring countries servers. I don't connect to far-reaching countries so can't comment on the connection speeds. Only had to use the support once and within 5 minutes my issue was resolved. Android app is a bit clunky compared to the likes of the top 10 but at £12 for a year I can't complain. Suffices my torrent and streaming needs to keep my activities hidden from my ISP. Note, I do not use their streaming profile as PPTP uses RC4 and is not secure enough to hide your activities. Always best to be safe!

Terrible support, questionable business practicesI purchased a lifetime account with PureVPN about four years ago. I have emails that confirm this, including from their support team. At some point, they changed my account to a five-year subscription and then (because they must use a different type of math) set my account to expire after <4.5 years. I contacted support numerous times about this over the course of two months to which they only responded twice, both with " so sorry, we' ll look into it" with no actual follow-up despite a dozen messages from my side.
The issue was never got resolved, my account expired and I can't use it anymore. Many people have reported similar experiences, so research before giving them any money. Another consideration is that Hong Kong is steadily coming under Beijing's control, so privacy can't really be expected. With more reliable providers available at a similar price, I'd suggests staying far away from PureVPN.

When compared with Astrill, PureVPN clearly wins when it comes to providing better services and access. With more than 170 countries in its arsenal, it makes accessing most networks from China a child’s play. The encryption is much better in comparison and offers much tighter security. The customer service of PureVPN is also fantastic in comparison. Another setback for Astrill is the fact that it gives trouble to users when they try to use it as a hotspot while on the move. The company claims that it is indeed possible with Astrill’s software, but this has not proved useful so far.
Interestingly, if you compare PureVPN with Tunnelr VPN, which is our top ranked vpn, you'll see that PureVPN can learn a lot from Tunnelr VPN. Compare PureVPN with Tunnelr VPN
