Windscribe and Trust.Zone are two popular VPN providers, both well established and respected for for their reliable services. Both VPNs offer unlimited bandwidth and essential security features like a kill switch and tracking protection. These providers also support torrenting on their servers and are capable of breaking through tough geoblocks on providers like Netflix. To protect your anonymity, Windscribe and Trust.Zone both maintain no-logs policies. Trust.Zone also has a Warrant Canary, which warns users in the event that the provider is required to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in an investigation. One major difference between these VPNs is that while Trust.Zone only provides a dedicated app for Windows, Windscribe also offers apps for MacOS, iOS, and Android. However, Trust.Zone can be seamlessly configured manually on these other platforms. Keep on reading for a more detailed comparison across multiple categories.

You can tell from its name that Trust.Zone markets itself as a privacy-friendly VPN. While it doesn't log your data, there have been many complaints about “Trust Zone”. This includes reports of buggy apps and an inadequate refund policy. So, my team and I performed extensive tests on all its features to see if it’s safe, fast, and trustworthy enough to try. After all our tests, I can say ...

6 years with TZ and no real complaints

What to say about Trust Zone? Well, for $39.95 for a year compared to the next 'recommended' VPN comp... any at more than double that I can't see a good reason to leave Trust Zone, at all! Issues - It's literally only been this year that I've been experiencing problems, support has always gotten back to me within about 48hrs, not on weekends or evenings, which could be a potential problem. However, I've always been able to follow their instructions and fixed any errors that have occurred, uninstalling and reinstalling are simple and I've found that fixed any seemingly annoying problem, and it doesn't take more than 5mins to do that! Sometimes (I used UK servers mostly, based there) the server can get a little slow, or seem to stop, but I just flick over to another UK server or Germany is another fave and no more problem for 99% of the time I've ever had any issues. Benefits - For the price Trust Zone VPN is 'IMHO' truly great value for money and the privacy and security could be no better from everything that I've read, even on here. I bought Nord VPN yesterday as I was getting connectivity issues and wanted to see if it was TZ, it wasn't and now I've got to wait a week for my refund from Nord VPN, I wasn't impressed at all and it wouldn't connect properly and my speeds were truly terrible! This was on the supposed fast server for what I was using, I couldn't use my fave 'app' shall we say, and when it did connect I didn't get more than just under 2mbps and I have over 70mbps on my line and that will be going to a Gig soon, can't wait! The UK is so far behind where I lived in S.E Asia for 17yrs, that it's almost laughable, but it isn't is it! 1st world England, I think not! Lulz. I hope that TZ can sort out their server maintenance and inform the users of when it's being done, or a symbol next to the server(s) would be a nice touch to let us know that it's being worked on, etc. All in all, from the abysmal Nord VPN experience I had yesterday, all evening trying to get it to work, paying more certainly doesn't mean better in my years of computer and internet experience, and most recently been proven right yet again! Last hint and tip, never connect to the internet without a VPN. Good luck out there all. Wendy.More

Dedicated ips with port forwarding not working on every location

I am using 4 different VPN servers with dedicated IP's and port forwarding. One server in Montreal an... d one in Tokyo are running with wireguard connections in ubuntu without any problems. The server in UK stopped to establish connections with wireguard for more than a week, so I had to switch to openvpn. Also the UK server was down for two days. Trust.zone reported network card problems. The fourth server is located in Moscow and makes the biggest trouble. Wireguard also stopped working for about more than a week. Then I switched to openvpn. With openvpn the connections are now always established and broken after a view seconds. Trust.Zone tells, that there is a second connection present. But I have only one connection. So I assume the dedicated IP is sold to multiple users. Conclusion: The dedicated ip with port forwarding is basically cool. But when it is not working, then trust.zone can't fix it, and has no money back, nor giving another ip at another location as replacement.More

My team and I tested everything Windscribe offers, including speeds, streaming performance, security, and more. We also thoroughly investigated its privacy policy to see how it's improved since the breach. After our tests, I can confirm that Windscribe is safe and decent overall. It has strong security features and takes your privacy seriously. Its free version is one of the best available, but...

Customer for 5 years, Excellent VPN

I see a fair amount of misinformation about Windscribe's features, pricing, etc.. I have zero complain... ts. You can build a custom plan for as low as $3 monthly, and if you want pro you can usually buy a year's worth for about the same if you wait for one of their promotions. Promotions are usually around the holidays, and are about $29-30/year.More

    Windscribe = Unprofessional

If you are looking for a new synonym of the word unprofessional there you go you found it! Windscribe ... is not a company is just a joke that makes money from scamming people thinking they getting VPN services... Even after all these years they still do silly pranks on their supposedly customers by tricking them with a fake 1 year of free PRO service and days later telling it was just a joke as everything they do are for them... The only positive thing you can take from all of this is that if they can run a joke company and make money so can you... But will you still sleep at nights... That's up to you...More

    Best VPN by Category

    Best VPN Overall

Trust.Zone focuses on providing a reliable VPN service with ultra-strong security features and a network of fast servers. Windscribe is also a reliable provider with many innovative features and dedicated apps for all platforms.

    Best VPN for Torrents

Trust.Zone does not restrict P2P activities on its servers and maintains a no-logs policy to keep your torrenting activity truly anonymous. Windscribe also allows torrenting on some of its servers and does not restrict P2P file sharing.

    Best VPN for Windows

Trust.Zone provides a dedicated Windows app with a simple user interface, tracking protection, and support for the OpenVPN and L2TP encryption protocols. With Windscribe’s dedicated Windows app, you benefit from a built-in firewall and an ad-blocking feature.

    Best VPN for Android

Trust.Zone can be configured on Android devices using the universal OpenVPN app, which can be downloaded from the Play Store. Once installed, the VPN features unlimited bandwidth and unrestricted speed. Meanwhile, Windscribe offers a dedicated Android app that includes access to the free version of the VPN, along with ad blocking and time zone spoofing.

    Best VPN for Mac

With a dedicated app that includes strong 256-bit encryption, wi-fi protection, a kill switch, and a double-hop feature that allows you connect to two servers at once, Windscribe offers a very powerful service for MacOS. Trust.Zone, on the other hand, allows you to integrate the VPN into your MacOS devices using the universal TunnelBlick client. Although the result is a less intuitive interface, the service features strong security features and access to servers that seamlessly unblock content worldwide.

    Best VPN for iOS

In spite of the absence of a dedicated app for iOS, Trust.Zone delivers a great VPN for all your Apple devices. Manual configuration is not difficult, and the VPN offers support for the L2TP/IPSec tunneling protocol. Windscribe, however, has a dedicated iOS app and offers a more intuitive user interface. It also offers enhanced security features like tracking protection.

    Best VPN for USA

If you’re looking for a VPN with US servers that allows you to unblock and stream content from providers like Netflix and Hulu, Trust.Zone is our pick between these two providers. Nevertheless, Windscribe is also a great VPN for accessing content from the USA, as long as you connect to dedicated Windflix servers, which unblock Netflix and many other sites seamlessly.

    The Bottom Line

These are two dependable VPNs, but Trust.Zone offers a slightly more reliable service overall, excellent security, and higher speeds. Its affordable subscription prices put it over the top as the winner of this comparison. Trust.Zone’s location in the VPN-friendly Seychelles also means you can trust that its no-logs policy is strictly followed. And even though it has no dedicated mobile apps, installing it on mobile devices is seamless and straightforward, making Trust.Zone and easy-to-use service across all platforms.
