TunnelBear is one of the most beginner-friendly VPNs, offering a solid free version. Despite its adorable design, it’s also renowned for its security and privacy features. But can you truly rely on this lighthearted VPN to protect you the way the best providers can? After extensive tests, I can confirm that TunnelBear is an excellent VPN with great potential. It’s straightforward to use, d...

    DANGEROUS for CANADIANS

I live in the GTA, everything was fine "until" I installed TunnelBear on one of my 7 devices, now I ca... n no longer watch any USA TV stations on line on any of my other 6 devices, this company is scum, they hid something in there that disabled all my other devices unless I buy their VPN, well, not going to buy their garbage, can't believe how much it slowed my device, I would rather wipe all my drives than give TunnelBear one cent!More

VPNSecure looks good on paper, but does it deliver? Finding a VPN that performs well in all fields isn’t an easy task. I took it for a test run to see whether this provider can keep you as secure as its name implies.  Founded back in 2010 in Sydney, NSW, I found VPN Secure offers solid security features with a seemingly airtight no-log policy. According to its customer support, it should e...

    Great VPN

I like it. Have had it for 3 years. I bought the lifetime subscription when that was around because Sp... ectrum sent me a letter warning me about "illegal activities" when I used torrent. The speed is actually pretty good because I could play CSGO and watch Youtube without lag or buffer. Overall I'd recommend this VPN.More

    Was great, but...

Performance is still good - IF you can connect. Many of the US servers simple don't work for me in Eu... rope. But after some trial and error, I found one. "Untied Sates + Ad Blocker" Their support used to be really, really GREAT. Now there is none. At all! I tried submitting a ticket from the app - several times. Then I tried sending a message to support on the site. NADA! NOTHING! ZIP!More

    Best VPN by Category

    Best VPN Overall

TunnelBear is more affordable, has more features, and offers a user-friendly service suitable for VPN newbies and experts alike. VPNSecure’s most appealing qualities are its unique obfuscation technology and very fast server speeds, which are ideal for streaming HD content.

    Best VPN for Torrents

TunnelBear supports torrenting on its servers and does not restrict P2P activities. Its servers are also reliably fast for downloading torrents anonymously. VPNSecure is also very reliable for torrenting anonymously, as it supports P2P on 90% of its servers and only places use restrictions on a few of them.

    Best VPN for Windows
    Best VPN for Android

TunnelBear’s dedicated Android app protects mobile users from third party tracking. VPNSecure competes with its own Android app that includes a 24-hour free trial and the provider’s unique obfuscation technology.

    Best VPN for Mac

TunnelBear offers a reliable MacOS app that actively blocks intrusive ads and protects your data on any WiFi network. VPNSecure’s MacOS app includes a fully integrated SmartDNS service that allows users to easily bypass many stubborn geoblocks.

    Best VPN for iOS

TunnelBear is our recommended VPN for iOS device owners. The dedicated app offers access to very fast servers and works from anywhere in the world including China, provided you install it before arriving there. VPNSecure offers an iOS client with access to dedicated IP addresses, support for the PPTP, OpenVPN and SSH SOCKS protocols, and a choice between 128-bit and 256-bit encryption. Unfortunately, the app has been plagued by negative user reviews.

    Best VPN for USA

TunnelBear is great for unblocking US content from overseas. Although it hasn’t reliably broken through US Netflix’s restrictions all the time, its servers can access many other US websites and stream HD content without buffering. Meanwhile, VPNSecure unblocked Netflix-US in the past but is now unable to do so. It still offers US servers that are able to bypass the geoblocks of many other American websites and content providers.

    The Bottom Line

TunnelBear wins this comparison by providing a much more reliable and complete service. Because the provider offers a free version that allows users test out the service before paying for a subscription plan, we see no reason to judge it harshly for the absence of a money-back guarantee. TunnelBear also has far more positive reviews from users than VPNSecure. VPNSecure is certainly not an entirely bad service, especially with regard to speed. Overall, however, you can expect to get much more value for your money with TunnelBear.
