Speedify Review & Test 2019 - Free, But Not Worth the Risk

While not really a VPN as such, Speedify does execute many of the same functions, but its name and legacy come from its unique channel bonding technology. Basically, Speedify uses all the available connections bundled up together to prove faster speeds and more reliable connections. The best way to understand channel bonding is to think of the difference between driving on a single-lane road and racing along on a five-lane highway. Speedify offers the highway route by using lots of different channels to get to the same destination but in half the time. By splitting your online activities across several different lanes or channels, Speedify also significantly reduces the likelihood of losing all connectivity. If you're definitely after a VPN though, take a look at our #1 recommendation NordVPN.

As a no-log VPN service, Speedify also looks after your privacy and enables you to explore cyberspace undetected while retaining no IP addresses or data from your time online. In fact, Speedify’s privacy policy is one of the most straightforward and thorough out there and, as you don’t need to register to use the free service, you will remain completely incognito with all your personal data hidden away in virtual filing cabinets just as it should be.

This upfront approach extends into their set-up process which couldn’t be any simpler. All you have to do to try out the free plan is download the client, run the installer and off it goes. There really is nothing more to it. While it may not make the world of difference speed-wise, if you’re looking for a reliable, user-friendly VPN, with the emphasis on speed and security, then Speedify offers a fantastic product.

In addition to its no-log service and free 2 GB of data, Speedify offers competitive paid plans to its users, although you can only sign up for unlimited access which may seem a little excessive to some. The monthly plan is fairly mid-range in terms of the competitors, while the yearly plan gives a highly economical option, which is ideal if you’re a heavy data user. They also offer Speedify for Families, a family plan with centralized management for up to five family members. With its compatibility with mobile devices and its innovative Speedify for Teams package, this product is finding niches in a highly competitive market.

The Bottom Line

Provides a new way for speed and security

Overall, Speedify is hard not to like. Their efforts to think outside the VPN box and create a distinctive product with unique features and original technology are impressive, as is their commitment to both speed and security. They give 2 GB of data for free every month; this is a definite highlight, as is their no-nonsense approach to privacy. But, we still think you could get better value for money if you opted for a top vendor like NordVPN or ExpressVPN. With their best-in-class features and attractive yearly plans, it makes sense.

Great app to use both WiFi and mobile data

Not so much interested of the VPN aspect of it, but the thing where Speedify combines Internet connections is great. I'm walking down the street connected to public WiFi networks and my Spotify doesn't act up anymore. Plus I can do business calls while on the train.

    Speedify gobbles data

It was easy to install, but I did not notice ANY improvement in network connectivity and it used up over 2GB of my mobile data in one day when my phone wasn't even being used and flatted my battery in the process. Avoid this app.

Bin deswegen leider kein Abo eingegangen obwohl alles perfekt lief.
