When comparing AirVPN, VPNSecure, and hide.me VPN, there are some impactful differences in the level of service that you need to know about. On the privacy front, all three clients are good and they have no-logs policies.

However, VPNSecure has a relatively small server network with a lopsided presence in the US. AirVPN is better spread out, but it’s hide.me that has the most impressive server network overall.

Aside from that, all three providers have a kill switch and support multiple device connectivity. They also rank well on reliability and customer support, so you will get the help you need. And, they are all available for most major OSs, although AirVPN and VPNSecure do lack their own GUI clients for iOS.

If you’re looking for security and performance features, AirVPN is the best of the bunch with its perfect forward secrecy and port forwarding. hide.me, on the other hand, prides itself on its user-friendly apps and convenient features.

All three VPNs are more affordable than most premium VPNs. Both AirVPN and hide.me offer money-back guarantees, while the latter also has a free plan. There’s no using VPNSecure completely free as access to its trial cost $1.

AirVPN is a budget-friendly option that claims to provide robust protection against online threats. Plus, it says it offers high-performance servers. But can it really rival the top VPNs, or is the price so low because it’s not that good? After testing all its features, I found that AirVPN is secure, but it can't match the best VPNs. It has many great security features, solid speeds, and work...

I am AirVpn cusomers since 2015, and on my gear works remarkably well

I am working in the biggest country in Asia since 2006. I constantly use AirVpn on my MacBook Pro sinc... e 2015, and on my iPhone - iPad. I never had an issue, of any kind, with it, and I was quite amazed to read the article above. Lately, it is very difficult to get it properly run on iPhone and iPad, but this is more the result of this country where I live in restrictions than the vpn in itself. While in Hong Kong was still working fine, but as soon as I crossed the border troubles started. I will tweak that as soon as I will be out again. In the rest of the world, I never had issues. So I do not give the 5th star just because of my at present troubles using it on my iPhone and iPad. For the rest, I will stick with it.More

Offering a popular free version and cheap premium plans, hide.me claims to be one of the best value VPNs in the world. But will the free version keep you safe online, and how do its paid plans stack up to other premium VPNs? To find out, I performed extensive tests on every feature that hide.me offers. I explored speeds, streaming capabilities, and safety with the free and paid versions. In ad...

    Best VPN for free

It works perfectly fine, the speeds are good, and there are a lot of different locations. I have had ... no problems with this VPN, and I like that it has a 10GB data limit monthly (more than most competitors). I tried every other free VPN, but all of them are slow and aren't as fast as this one. In my opinion, download this VPN and you will be happy.More

VPNSecure looks good on paper, but does it deliver? Finding a VPN that performs well in all fields isn’t an easy task. I took it for a test run to see whether this provider can keep you as secure as its name implies.  Founded back in 2010 in Sydney, NSW, I found VPN Secure offers solid security features with a seemingly airtight no-log policy. According to its customer support, it should e...

    Great VPN

I like it. Have had it for 3 years. I bought the lifetime subscription when that was around because Sp... ectrum sent me a letter warning me about "illegal activities" when I used torrent. The speed is actually pretty good because I could play CSGO and watch Youtube without lag or buffer. Overall I'd recommend this VPN.More

    Was great, but...

Performance is still good - IF you can connect. Many of the US servers simple don't work for me in Eu... rope. But after some trial and error, I found one. "Untied Sates + Ad Blocker" Their support used to be really, really GREAT. Now there is none. At all! I tried submitting a ticket from the app - several times. Then I tried sending a message to support on the site. NADA! NOTHING! ZIP!More

    Best VPN by Category

    Best VPN Overall

AirVPN emerges as our top VPN in this three-way battle. It was a close-back-and-forth between AirVPN and hide.me. But, in the end, if you use a VPN for its ability to secure and privatize your online activity, AirVPN is the better choice. hide.me shines in some areas, like its global servers and user-friendly apps. But, it just doesn’t match AirVPN's advanced features.

    Best VPN for Torrents

AirVPN takes the win because it has the best combination of infrastructure and features to support torrent users. hide.me has a slightly more impressive server network, but AirVPN has port forwarding, which is known to speed up P2P file sharing. hide.me might be better if you have strong privacy concerns, as it’s based in a privacy-friendly country and has a clear no-logs policy.

    Best VPN for Windows

AirVPN offers its very own simple and secure VPN app for Windows, called Eddie. The design could do with an update, but it’s a breeze to navigate and use for anyone familiar with the Windows OS. It comes with a kill switch, split tunneling, and support for both OpenVPN and WireGuard to keep your surfing secure and anonymous at all times.

    Best VPN for Android

hide.me has some of the most user-friendly and effective VPN apps for mobile. Its Android client supports IKEv2 and OpenVPN. It also has a handy “auto-reconnect” feature that’s like a kill switch that also tries to reestablish your connection as soon as possible. It’s rated highly on the Google Play Store, which shows how much users enjoy it.

    Best VPN for Mac

None of the VPNs’ apps on macOS differ significantly from the Windows version. However, we have to give it to hide.me simply because AirVPN’s old-school interface won’t be familiar or accessible to the majority of Mac users.

    Best VPN for iOS

hide.me’s iOS app carries on the excellence of its Android companion. It’s a capable app with superb usability, that’s loved by the majority of users. The iOS app actually supports WireGuard and has a kill switch which is relatively rare. On the other hand, neither AirVPN nor VPNSecure offers their own iOS apps, so hide.me wins by default.

    Best VPN for USA

hide.me might have the larger overall server network, but AirVPN offers more locations in the US and Canada itself, making it the top VPN in this category. VPNSecure actually has the most US server locations, but its global coverage is poor.

    The Bottom Line

Running through our exhaustive set of tests and comparisons, AirVPN is the winner. Its extensive list of features, alongside an above-average pricing strategy and support service, really set it apart from the crowd. It's not the best for streaming, but it has a lot of advanced features that make it worthwhile. hide.me comes really close to AirVPN and doesn't get the win only by a small margin.
