    Which VPN is better?

Back in its heyday, Astrill VPN was considered one of the fastest and most reliable VPNs when it came to negotiating the Great Firewall of China, but the wall became aware of its weaknesses and targeted Astrill, diminishing their performance for some time. Well, Astrill is back, but it’s not as strong as some of its competitors. Perfect Privacy have worked hard to achieve their notoriety and their 'Multi-Hop VPN' feature provides additional anonymity by cascading over several OpenVPN servers simultaneously – making your activities almost impossible to trace. The only problem is, the more diversions, the slower the performance. Cyberghost tackles your worst territorial nightmares, opening up the virtual world regardless of your location. Their 'Unblock Streaming' option means you can get your fill of TV shows, even if they are only available on US Netflix and you’re living in deepest darkest Peru. Cyberghost VPN tends to lead the pack, simply due to the enormous number of servers available.

CyberGhost is one of the most affordable VPNs on the market — you can get a subscription for as low as $2.19/month. I sometimes assume that price indicates quality, but with VPNs, I've been proven wrong before. So I wanted to see whether CyberGhost can really deliver at such a low price. I did a deep dive into CyberGhost’s privacy policy and security measures to determine whether it’s secu...

Great interface and is very intuitive. Many locations with reasonably fast speeds. There are a lot of ... essential features I like as well. Wireguard, Wifi Protect, Etc. I took out the 2-year plan at a fair discount so I can say that, given the price, it's a decent balance of quantity and quality.More

    Pretty good

CyberGhost does not connect automatically in pc when I connect online. Why? And on my phone (Android)...  it sometimes gets stuck, it does not open the app when vpn is working. I have to connect the VPN in my phone settings first. That is pretty annoying.More

Astrill VPN is one of the most popular VPNs to use in China. But it's also one of the most expensive VPNs available and doesn't have a money-back guarantee. With such a big investment, is it still the best VPN for China, and should you try it if you're located elsewhere? After my tests, I can confirm it's an excellent VPN for China but falls short in other areas. It offers slow speeds and clunky a...

Been using it for a long time.. but have to go

I have been using Astrill for more than 10 years. Never had a problem. A couple of times I used the ch... at for support and it was excellent. However this is probably going to be my last year. Reason .... price. With the virus crisis I am unemployed and can not afford it. They do not give any kind of discount and keep raising the price year after year. I am not in China so I suspend it, I do not need all those features.More

Don’t even think of it if you own Apple products

Worst VPN ever. Unreliable, unstable. It’s utterly expensive. Forget about streaming. Apple products a... re almost useless with it. Technical support team answers are pretty much like “Why don’t you turn it off and on?”. Please don’t waste your money as I did. They don’t even have a refund policy!More

Perfect Privacy is one of the more expensive VPNs out there. To justify the high price, it boldly claims to be one of the most secure services available. Is it really worth the money, especially with so many premium VPNs available for less? I explored its features to see if it's worth your commitment. After all my tests, I can't say Perfect Privacy is worth the price. It's significantly more expe...

    Best VPN out there.

It is still one of the Best VPNs out there. They have some unique features like Track-Stop, self-confi... gurable Multi-Hop, and Port Forwarding which make them one of the safest and most Private Providers. They may not have the most Servers or beautiful Software but they own all the Servers which run as Diskless Servers on Bare Metal! They earned their Reputation. More

    Dont do it, its sketchy.

If you like me, cannot find a way to cancel your payment (Its through paypal.) then you are outta luc... k. Also, its easy to lose your password because they give you a temp password with NO means of recovery for your password if you lose the email with the temp password. Whats worse is if you lose that then you are going to have to contact them and hope they can give your password to you which good luck with that, when I contacted them for a refund and asked them for my password, instead they went to berate me. Terrible service, "I'm sure that Paypal is on our Side, because it was your fault." Yep, a rep literally said this in an email when I was asking for a refund and he wouldn't give it so I went to paypal for it. He said, "Its your fault for not canceling the service sooner." when literally I couldn't find a way to cancel it for HOURS because I couldn't find my password. I gave up at one time and forgot about it and then I went at it again. I used their service for literally a day. So do NOT buy this service, on top of all this its actually very hard to find a server with good ping and actual space for MB also, if someone enters the server and fills it up to max, it slows the server down for EVERYONE so there is going to be severe lag spikes that will happen utterly randomly. I was going to use it to block ads on twitch but I can just go to literally any other VPN with ad blocking.More

    The Bottom Line

Astrill VPN has done much to improve its service, with add-ons that provide fast streaming and virtually eradicate buffering issues. Its customer service is undeniably efficient as well. However, this isn’t quite enough to knock Cyberghost VPN from its virtual throne. Perfect Privacy pushes Astrill onto the bronze pedestal with its TeamViewer help software, which enables one of their team to gain remote control of your system and show you around in person. Cyberghost is the manifestation of a great VPN and will keep coming back to haunt you.
