Value for money is incredibly important to VPN users and straight away, we can see that AirVPN and BlackVPN provide access to three devices per license – one more than BolehVPN. All three offer their customers an easy-to-use mobile app, with compatibility available on Windows, Linux, Mac, Android and iOS. AirVPN are the only providers in this comparison to include a kill switch as standard, ensuring that any breakdowns in connection will retain your personal privacy and security. With so many VPN suppliers now available, it's disappointing to see that BlackVPN do not offer any sort of free trial. However, they do include a 14-day money back guarantee, along with BolehVPN, although neither is comparable to AirVPN's 30-day equivalent.

Founded in 2010, AirVPN started as a passion project for a group of individuals dedicated to internet privacy and net neutrality. It offers a large selection of 7 subscription plans, which makes it seem like it would be a good value for money. So, I was curious to test it out and see how it works with some of the popular streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Disney+, and oth...

I am AirVpn cusomers since 2015, and on my gear works remarkably well

I am working in the biggest country in Asia since 2006. I constantly use AirVpn on my MacBook Pro sinc... e 2015, and on my iPhone - iPad. I never had an issue, of any kind, with it, and I was quite amazed to read the article above. Lately, it is very difficult to get it properly run on iPhone and iPad, but this is more the result of this country where I live in restrictions than the vpn in itself. While in Hong Kong was still working fine, but as soon as I crossed the border troubles started. I will tweak that as soon as I will be out again. In the rest of the world, I never had issues. So I do not give the 5th star just because of my at present troubles using it on my iPhone and iPad. For the rest, I will stick with it.More

Very bad performance

AirVPN is by far the slowest VPN I have ever used. Whichever protocol and/or server I have used, it di... dn't make any difference. My internet speed decreased by over 90%, download speed as well as upload speed. When you take a look at the AirVPN forum, you will notice loads of users are experiencing the same issue, for which AirVPN obviously has no solutions.More

BolehVPN is a product of BV Internet Services founded in 2007. It’s based in Malaysia but has jurisdiction in Seychelles. It has a small server network of only 35 servers in 12 countries, but it offers specialized servers for different uses. For example, it has streaming servers, which successfully unblocked different Netflix libraries and other platforms. It also has obfuscated cloak server...

Personal Support

I am very satisfied with the VPN service and I am absolutely delighted with the very personal consider... ation that Bolehvpn have extended to me in the course of my renewal. In this era of digitally driven business models such a personal touch is (sadly) almost unheard of. It is a great credit to Bolehvpn that they have somehow retained it.More

Got scammed by them

As already said by others in recent reviews, they do not respond to your messages. They are scamming u... sers. I already paid for a year but I received no login information and the "send username" function has broken down. I paid for a full year but I ended up with really nothing. I will now try to get the money refunded by the payment provider that they use, I really regret not using my credit card with insurance for this particular purchase.More

The Bottom Line

AirVPN are one of the most heralded VPN providers on the internet and they easily overcome BolehVPN and BlackVPN in a direct comparison. Not only do they provide their customers with an extensive array of features, including a kill switch and roughly double the number of servers, but they're also the cheapest of the three by some margin. In an industry in which privacy is key, it's also a major boost to their credentials that they accept Bitcoin as payment, whilst also providing users with a user-friendly support system before, during and after the initial setup.
