VyprVPN and BufferedVPN are OpenVPN-based products incorporated in jurisdictions having robust privacy laws. While VyprVPN is incorporated in Switzerland, BufferedVPN is registered in Gibraltar. VyprVPN works on Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, TV and routers while Buffered is built for Windows, Mac, iOS, Android and Linux. In terms of location, VyprVPN has a bigger footprint than Buffered VPN. The VyprVPN app delivers the capability to manage which device in your network you want on the VPN and which you want to keep off. Other aspects of the app include change of server for each device and change of protocol too. Buffered VPN offers switching between UDP and TCP protocols while solely running on OpenVPN. Encryption is similar on both products. VyprVPN has developed its own proprietary protocol over the OpenVPN protocol with the added feature of scrambling of packet metadata. Buffered VPN uses old but efficient Blowfish encryption. Both VyprVPN and Buffered provide a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Update: Buffered VPN merged with Encrypt.me. We have thoroughly tested Encrypt.me, and you can find everything you need to know in our review.
Buffered VPN has a lot to offer due to its user-friendly interface, fast connection speeds, and reliable security. One thing it can't do is unblock Netflix, you'll need a premium vendor like NordVPN for that.
In addition to dedicated apps available for a...
I considered a number of VPN's before going with Buffered which I find excellent. No issues in any aspect, On the rare occasions that I required assistance (in the initial set up stage), the Help Desk was outstanding. Would highly recommend Buffered to anyone considering using a VPN

They are no moreAfter being a customer for more than 2 years and paying a premium price for a good service. THEY DON'T EXIST ANYMORE.. No warning, just logged in one day and my app doesn't work and they have changed their website name. STAY AWAY, sounds dodgy.
VyprVPN is a popular VPN service created by Switzerland-based Golden Frog. This VPN has worked hard to establish itself as a trusted provider and advocate of internet privacy.
The provider has also been taking steps to improve its reliability, security, and quality of service based on customer requests. However, does VyprVPN really make the cut? Here's a preview: when it comes to privacy, geobl...
Chameleon is AmazingI tried CyberGhost, Express, and Nord VPN over the last month. None of these were able to get by my institution's Fortigate Firewall doing Deep Packet Inspection scanning. They are using some sort of Obfuscation technique but they were not good enough.
I read about VyprVpn's Chameleon protocol. YES... It worked !!!! I do have to sacrifice speed but at least I get outside access. When I am out of that environment, I switch back to Wireguard and the speed increases 300%. The price is great, their Live chat was great when I questioned their own DNS servers. They were easy to reach with the chat and took the time to explain how their DNS servers worked.
I highly recommend VyprVPN !!!

Insufficiently tested, unreliable and inconsistent for most of the timeHaving to reset the connection every few minutes. Somehow the access to the internet stops. (No, it is not due to my provider). Also, if your account is included in their first line of testing, you can bet on many months of unreliable and buggy service. Overall, probably the equivalent of 2 months a year you have good service, the rest of the time is garbage.

US-based VyprVPN comes out on top on all fronts. Hungary-based Buffered comes quite close on features, but is left behind by VyprVPNs better pricing. VyprVPN has a simpler usage which puts it into top gear and races ahead of Buffered VPN in this tight matchup. With its proprietary technology and larger number of server locations, VyprVPN provides coverage in all restricted locations. Scoring high in ease-of-use, VyprVPN has a top-notch product, one that is offered with a highly-competitive price markup.
Interestingly, if you compare VyprVPN with 1Password, which is our top ranked vpn, you'll see that VyprVPN can learn a lot from 1Password. Compare VyprVPN with 1Password
