Established in 1995, Anonymizer VPN is the grandfather of VPNs, but there’s life in the old dog yet. Their technological prowess is certainly not in any doubt, and they remain one of the most solid clients in terms of their zero-logging policy. Lurking outside the 14-eyes group of countries, Cyberghost VPN is no newcomer either and sets the standard with its “Fastest Servers” tab. This useful little button checks response times before compiling a list of the most effective servers available. BlackVPN is also up there with the best of them, particularly in terms of anonymity, as they only retain your email address and payment history – no other logs are recorded. All three provide a kill switch option so, should your secret tunnel to the cyber-side collapse, you can get out instantly. In terms of pricing, however, Cyberghost haunts its competitors with its economic premium plan and 45-day money back guarantee.

CyberGhost is one of the most affordable VPNs on the market — you can get a subscription for as low as $2.03/month. I sometimes assume that price indicates quality, but with VPNs, I've been proven wrong before. So I wanted to see whether CyberGhost can really deliver at such a low price. I did a deep dive into CyberGhost’s privacy policy and security measures to determine whether it’s secu...

Great interface and is very intuitive. Many locations with reasonably fast speeds. There are a lot of ... essential features I like as well. Wireguard, Wifi Protect, Etc. I took out the 2-year plan at a fair discount so I can say that, given the price, it's a decent balance of quantity and quality.More

    Pretty good

CyberGhost does not connect automatically in pc when I connect online. Why? And on my phone (Android)...  it sometimes gets stuck, it does not open the app when vpn is working. I have to connect the VPN in my phone settings first. That is pretty annoying.More

Great product and fast response time to staff

I have been using Anonymizer since the "free trial" period when it was launched . . . I have found it ... to be accurate, timely and, most of all, when there is a glitch, the staff is very responsive to my emails and my calls. There have been times of glitches with changes, etc., but never anything to cause me to want to change products.More

Goes on and off w/o warning; very slow

Past week has been real decline in usefulness and speed. After a looooong wait, pages cannot load. P... rotection shuts off frequently & then restores/reconnects Service suggested changing one setting. Worked one day, now back to problems. Have used for years. This past week has been so much trouble that I am researching alternatives. Not an IT person so change would be a hassle...but I'm getting fed up.More

When you are looking for a VPN service, you want quality, security, and features. BlackVPN, which is based out of Kowloon, Hong Kong, is able to offer all of those things and more, making it a good choice for many out there in need of a trustworthy VPN. They’ve’ been rated as one of the most reliable and fastest VPN services, and they have 100Mbit and 1000Mbit connections, alongside premium v...

    Got scammed by them

As already said by others in recent reviews, they do not respond to your messages. They are scamming u... sers. I already paid for a year but I received no login information and the "send username" function has broken down. I paid for a full year but I ended up with really nothing. I will now try to get the money refunded by the payment provider that they use, I really regret not using my credit card with insurance for this particular purchase.More

    The Bottom Line

With its years of experience, it is no surprise that Anonymizer VPN is simple to download and navigate, although, from a purely aesthetic point of view, Cyberghost VPN’s colourful interface makes surfing a pleasure. BlackVPN offers various stylish features, but counteracts these with its rather tedious list of rules and regulations. Anonymizer VPN prides itself on its ability to unblock Netflix, while BlackVPN has battled a little in this regard. Overall, in terms of price, as well as service delivery, Cyberghost VPN is the icing on our virtual cake.
