TunnelBear VPN, Astrill VPN and Tiger VPN are a challenging set of VPNs to compare; each has an edge over the others. Astrill VPN has a much larger number of servers, spread across more countries than either TunnelBear VPN or Tiger VPN. Astrill VPN also supports a greater number of devices and has a kill switch, unlike its counterparties. TunnelBear VPN does exceptionally well on price, providing the greatest value for money option and a free limited use solution as well. Tiger VPN does pretty well across all our key rank indicators, with support and reliability scoring the highest. Tiger VPN ranks better on ease of use and features, it has good documentation and multiple OS support. If you are looking for a VPN with a kill switch, then Astrill VPN is your best option here. Astrill VPN and Tiger VPN do really well on network speed, both work great for Netflix and other video streaming services. Tiger VPN has advanced security features that will get you through the Great Firewall of China. Overall, each VPN has its own unique advantages, all three are pretty good options.

TunnelBear’s team does an excellent job in branding the VPN but is that all it takes to create a great service? With over 300 VPNs out there, the competition is fierce so I had to take it for a test and see if there’s more to it. I looked into its privacy policy and security features to see if it’s really safe. I ran many tests on its servers, checked the speeds, how many streaming platf...

DANGEROUS for CANADIANS

I live in the GTA, everything was fine "until" I installed TunnelBear on one of my 7 devices, now I ca... n no longer watch any USA TV stations on line on any of my other 6 devices, this company is scum, they hid something in there that disabled all my other devices unless I buy their VPN, well, not going to buy their garbage, can't believe how much it slowed my device, I would rather wipe all my drives than give TunnelBear one cent!More

Good bang for the buck!

Seems to work perfectly fine. Stopped working for a while and I will be testing it out again since I h... ave a lifetime subscription. Pricing was good to get the lifetime from a deal I received. You can find those once in a while. I hope tigerVPN still works. I really liked it while it worked!More

MultiOS Support, OKAY speeds

Apps for all OSs. Okay, speeds. Snagged a lifetime subscription early on, sparingly used. Now that the...  VPN market is so homogenous, it's hard to think specifically about what makes TigerVPN stand out. Sometimes it feels a little spartan.More

Astrill’s marketing team does a great job of advertising it as one of the best VPNs out there, especially in China — but are they telling the truth about how good it is? I tested every feature and analyzed its privacy policies and security measures to see if it’s good enough to recommend. I also paid attention to its server network, speeds, torrenting support, gaming, streaming and final...

Been using it for a long time.. but have to go

I have been using Astrill for more than 10 years. Never had a problem. A couple of times I used the ch... at for support and it was excellent. However this is probably going to be my last year. Reason .... price. With the virus crisis I am unemployed and can not afford it. They do not give any kind of discount and keep raising the price year after year. I am not in China so I suspend it, I do not need all those features.More

Horrible evil company

They have locked me out of my account for more than 11 days with no communication and no clear updates...  about what is going on. They are holding my money hostage and providing no service. This is an evil, spiteful, just overall bad company. If you can avoid them, please do.More

Tiger VPN is a superb VPN option, surpassing the others across the board. Excellent features, great pricing and ease of use set this VPN apart from the rest. When it comes to reliability and support, Tiger VPN scores very high on our ranking system with a staggering 4.8 out of 5. It’s great for anonymity and privacy, has a superb no-logging policy, excellent encryption levels and its advanced security features are second to none. Astrill VPN and TunnelBear VPN both do well and offer good options, but are perhaps better suited for the entry-level to mid-range users. If you are looking for something special, Tiger VPN is one of the best choices out there.
