VPNSecure and ibVPN use high-level encryption and support OpenVPN and Stealth VPN among other tunneling protocols. However, ibVPN offers a wider range of protocol options, like SoftEther, SSTP, and IKEv2, along with anonymity features such as Tor over VPN and double VPN. Regarding privacy, both ibVPN and VPNSecure don’t keep logs. Most of ibVPN’s dedicated apps come with a built-in kill switch that isn’t available with VPNSecure. Their server networks and locations are similar; VPNSecure has 76 servers spread across 48 countries while ibVPN has 100+ servers in 47 countries. Both VPNs are compatible with major operating systems and have dedicated apps for Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS. For pricing, ibVPN has several subscription options at a low cost, while with VPNSecure, you can only choose between 1-month, 6-month, and 12-month packages, all with the same features. Update: Recently, ibVPN merged with StrongVPN. We did indepth testing on StrongVPN, and you can find all the details in our review. ibVPN is a relatively small VPN, with a network of 180+ servers in 50+ countries. The name stands for "invisible browsing" VPN, and true to its name, ibVPN has a strong focus on security and privacy. This provider claims to be a great VPN for many different purpose...

Very stable, full option, the top if you look for a good privacy protection option!

I am using ibVPN for about 5 years, and I never had an issue. It perfectly works with many protocols a... llowing me to use the VPN at home (with my DD-WRT router) and in many public places, like airports, even when some port usage is restricted --> Just switching the protocol! The 24h free trial is perfect for checking if the service fits your needs. I highly recommended it!More

Some great features but a lot of drops

I'm a customer since almost 2 years, paying 2.41$ / month. Choose them for the price, no-log policy a... nd because they support upnp/port forwarding (no NAT firewall + dynamic IP on 4 servers in the Netherlands). I always had a big problem with their server: connection drops.. If I use too much bandwidth, I loose the connection and the VPN client is not able to reconnect to the server by itself (I need to reconnect it manually). Same thing happens always with torrent clients and Socks proxy: tried with different clients but after some days or a week (if I'm lucky) their servers kick me out, and a restart of the torrent client is not enough. No!! I need to change manually the server to re-start to torrenting! No problem if we are slow, for that price I'm more than happy.. but all these disconnections are very, very boring. I will stay with them till I will not find something suitable for my needs, but there's too much work from my side to stay with them forever.More

VPNSecure looks good on paper, but does it deliver? Finding a VPN that performs well in all fields isn’t an easy task. I took it for a test run to see whether this provider can keep you as secure as its name implies.  Founded back in 2010 in Sydney, NSW, I found VPN Secure offers solid security features with a seemingly airtight no-log policy. According to its customer support, it sh...

    Great VPN

I like it. Have had it for 3 years. I bought the lifetime subscription when that was around because Sp... ectrum sent me a letter warning me about "illegal activities" when I used torrent. The speed is actually pretty good because I could play CSGO and watch Youtube without lag or buffer. Overall I'd recommend this VPN.More

    Best VPN by category

VPNSecure and ibVPN have all the key features of a good VPN service, including unlimited server switching and bandwidth, DNS services, multi-protocol and cross-platform support, and a strict no-logs policy. However, ibVPN offers a kill switch and extra protocols in the form of double VPN and Tor over VPN.

Both providers support torrenting, but only on selected servers. VPNSecure supports torrenting on more servers, while ibVPN’s overall download speeds are faster.

VPNSecure and ibVPN have dedicated clients for Windows and both are user-friendly. However, ibVPN’s app has more features and a built-in kill switch that isn’t available in VPNSecure’s app.

For ibVPN and VPNSecure, their Android apps are easy to download and install. With both apps, you can switch between servers and connect to the faster server with a single tap. Connection stability, however, is slightly better with ibVPN.

VPNSecure and ibVPN’s MacOS dedicated clients support OpenVPN and Stealth VPN, among other protocols. However, only ibVPN’s app for Apple users includes a built-in NAT firewall and kill switch.

VPNSecure’s iOS app comes in two forms: a dedicated iOS VPN client and an open-source version that needs to be configured manually. Both are a little more basic than ibVPN’s app. In contrast, ibVPN’s dedicated iOS client has lots of customizable options, advanced features such as VPN On-Demand, and a built-in NAT firewall.

Both VPNs have a good server presence in the US, and ibVPN can easily bypass tough geoblocked US content like Netflix. VPNSecure also offers a Smarter DNS package, which allows you to access geoblocked content without needing a proxy service. However, ibVPN offers higher speeds and more reliable connections overall, making it a good choice for streaming.

    The Bottom Line

Both VPNSecure and ibVPN keep strict no-logs policies, have nearly the same number of servers and locations, and offer similar features such as OpenVPN support and Stealth VPN. However, ibVPN is the clear winner, thanks to its feature-packed apps, greater variety of subscription options at a lower cost, and anonymity features. Even though VPNSecure didn’t win this round, it still offers value for money with a 30-day free trial, Smarter DNS service, and the option of choosing the encryption level (from 64-bit to 256-bit) to customize your balance of security and speed. However, most users will find ibVPN to be a more complete and reliable VPN service.
