Zenmate and Ivacy are two well-established VPN providers with popular and beautifully designed apps for MacOS, Windows, iOS, and Android devices. You can expect strong encryption with either of these providers, as well as protection from ISP tracking. You’ll also benefit from unlimited bandwidth with either service. Support for multiple encryption protocols and five simultaneous device connections are some of the key similarities that ZenMate and Ivacy share. Malware protection and dedicated support for VoIP are only available with ZenMate, but Ivacy competes with features like a NAT firewall, split tunneling, and a unique identity protection feature. Furthermore, while ZenMate offers a 14-day money-back guarantee, Ivacy goes further with a 30-day refund policy. The similarities between these two providers are easier to spot than their differences, so keep on reading to see which one wins this contest.

Ivacy is a long-running VPN with some of the cheapest subscriptions around. It also offers a popular free version and an extensive server network with many rare locations. But is it actually safe or trustworthy with your data? After all my tests, I’ve concluded that Ivacy is a solid option but not at the top VPN level. It offers above-average speeds and adequate security; the free version is...

Not sure where all these negative thoughts come from.

Never had a problem connecting my desktop pooters with Ivacy. Had minor problem connecting my IOS devi... ce to my dedicated European IP but that was soon sorted. I daresay most of the negativity comes from the younger generation who have no patience. Staff at Ivacy who helped this 75yr old were awesome and ever helpful. Keep at it guys! I'd give them 9.5.More

    Terrible support

I was a customer 6 years ago. They still email me frequently, despite me unsubscribing many times and ... reaching out to their customer support 8+ times. If Ivacy can't get this right then I wouldn't trust any other promise that they make.More

ZenMate has been a popular VPN for 10+ years, especially with its free browser extensions. It offers low prices and many appealing features like streaming servers and fast speeds. But none of this matters if it can’t keep you safe, so I decided to find out if it really can. After my tests, I can say ZenMate is a safe VPN offering great value. It works great for streaming, has fast speeds at cl...

    Good experience

No matter your location, using a VPN is important for your online security. I got ZenMate for exactly ... that and I am satisfied with it, especially when it constantly improves its service. Customer support helped me so much and I just wanted to say that I've asked for their help a few times. And every time the support was respectful and fast in their response time. Keep it up!More

    Buggy and Unreliable

Good when it works, with a limited number of available servers. However, 1. Does not always connect ... to the fastest server. 2. On the Mac, it does not automatically connect to a server. 3. On iOS, it does connect automatically BUT does not do so consistently. 4. The Mac app has been buggy and not connecting at all, FOR MONTHS. They still have not fixed it.More

    Best VPN by Category

    Best VPN Overall

Strong security features, 24/7 customer support, access to the BBC iPlayer, and budget-friendly subscription prices are some of the key ways in which Ivacy delivers an exceptional VPN service. ZenMate also provides a solid VPN service with innovative features and the ability to bypass tough geoblocks on top streaming sites worldwide.

    Best VPN for Torrents

Ivacy is our recommended choice for downloading torrents, as it offers dedicated servers optimized for P2P file sharing. It also offers decent speeds. ZenMate supports torrenting but does not offer dedicated P2P servers.

    Best VPN for Windows

The provision of a dedicated client that includes strong encryption, split tunneling, tracking protection, and a NAT firewall make Ivacy a pretty powerful VPN for Windows. ZenMate also has a user-friendly Windows app that helps you block potential malware attacks and protects you from third-party tracking.

    Best VPN for Android

By featuring a neatly designed app that defeats ISP throttling and provides access to dedicated IPs and wi-fi protection, Ivacy provides an effective, reliable VPN service for Android. ZenMate also offers an Android app that’s easy to set up and includes features like malware protection and support for VoIP.

    Best VPN for Mac

Ivacy provides a very powerful service for MacOS through a user-friendly app with features like split tunneling, leak protection, and an internet-based kill switch. The best things about ZenMate’s VPN service for MacOS are malware protection and support for multiple encryption protocols, including IKEv2.

    Best VPN for iOS

If you want to watch your favorite shows and movies on your iOS device, you’ll appreciate Ivacy’s native app. It has a dedicated streaming feature that connects you to servers optimized for accessing top streaming platforms worldwide. Ivacy also offers a very secure service with strong encryption and access to 24/7 customer support. Meanwhile, ZenMate has a dedicated app for iOS that features tracking protection and a kill switch.

    Best VPN for USA

Ivacy has dedicated US servers that are very reliable for unblocking Netflix and many, many other US web services. ZenMate also provides around 70 US servers that unblock Netflix and other geoblocked American content from any location worldwide.

    The Bottom Line

Although both VPNs offer reliable services that prioritize security, Ivacy’s support for P2P, provision of split tunneling, and 24/7 customer service make it a more complete service and the winner of this comparison. Ivacy also has more budget-friendly subscription prices than ZenMate, along with a longer money-back guarantee period of 30-days. ZenMate’s support for VoIP, which makes services like Skype easily accessible from almost anywhere, is one of the provider’s many innovations that we admire, but isn’t quite enough to put it over the top in this competition.
